PSA: There is a free version that (most likely) covers your needs.
You can download liteCam Game free from litecam's website:
http://www.litecam.net/en/product/litecam-game/

Just to clarify:
liteCam Game is a software that lets you record video games for free (even at 100 fps)

liteCam HD is a software that lets you record either the screen or a game. This is the one you are buying but with a different, more eyecatching name.

Good info for people who may be interested. The free version is a good way to try it out and see how well it works, and the HD trial version (which has some limitations) I think is basically the same version that's available here on Steam. If I recall correctly, the free and trial versions put a watermark on the recorded videos. I liked the HD Trial version, so I decided to get the full unrestricted version here via Steam.

I wouldn't rely on the litecam HD trial for evaluation as I think it might be an older version of the software. I had worse performance using litecam HD trial than I did litecam game which makes me believe they did not apply the same day one patches to it like they did the steam version.

Checking the version numbers also show that the litecam HD trial is a full release whereas litecam game is a beta version which also makes me believe this.

@Sicris: Yes, I think you're right that the liteCam HD Trial could be an older build, as I recall some things looking a bit different on it when I tried it (though it was mostly the same) compared to the version I got here on Steam.
