Game Crashes Immediately

When I try to launch out of Steam, a window labelled "Super Motherlode Launcher" pops up, then an error message pops up saying Super Motherlode Launcher has stopped working, and the game crashes.

Was really enthralled by the browser version but this is pretty ridiculous.
