The current status of the update
Since we aren't sure of the exact date of the release of the update we can detail a bit about where we are.

Artistically, 2 More full sets of armor need to be modeled baked and rigged. New assets for another area on the starting island need to made and placed.

Programatically, Multiplayer is getting close. AI needs some work, and a few old features need to be brought up into the new engine.

Combat is going to get a LOT of attention. This will require testing and additional animations. We may release with combat in a good state, and continue to polish with your feedback until it is in a great state.

Magic needs to be re-worked and improved for the new engine.

NPCs and quests are written but need to be implemented into the game.

There are many dozens, if not hundreds, of little things that still need to be taken care of, but this covers the macro scale of what we are currently trying to get done.

Much has been done in the way of art, and gutting and re-writing code that would not have worked out long term.

I would say we are definitely past half way to finishing the update from when we started it.

Hopefully we can get another video demonstrating multi-player and/or combat soon.

Sounds great, I'm really looking forward to a combat video.

I would love to see some of the artwork even if it's only half done. It keeps the interest up! Any chance of posting a few shots?

Reposting this from another thread, since this thread sprang up...
I am also getting somewhat uncomfortable with the amount of time since the last update. I know you just got done with college and such but that is all the more reason you should have put out something to keep us entertained. I really think maybe a weekly thread could do wonders on keeping people informed without you needing to spend time making videos. At the very least give us an estimate (does not need to be a set date) of how much longer until this update, so I can stop checking these dead forums each day for no reason. I am also not a programmer or game maker so the next thing might be silly: Can you possibly put the update out in smaller bite-sized pieces that we can play around with? I have had this game on the shelf for far too long. Help us (we paid to bug test) help you (feedback and suggestions).

Just come back to check on the game from when it first came out on Steam. DLed it and played some, can't see any change in game but it's great to see a lot of new plans and so looking forward to checking them out.

The world is wonderful to look at and I love the sunrise through the trees. I'm glad combat is just a place holder because "lol"

I do have a question although there is no preasure to answer. But, what is your plan for multiplayer? In that, I mean what is its purpose, how does it fit into the game in that multiplayer is needed. To me it seems like a singleplayer game world.

Thanks

The game is designed with the single player experience in mind but many people (ourselves included) think that multiplayer would add another dimension of enjoyment.

When you start a new character you start a new world. Your character and the world grow together. When you want to player multiplayer you can either bring another player into your world or you can visit his world. It's similar as to how borderlands does their multiplayer. It will be integrated through steam.

I know you guys have fewer resources than Bethesda, but a richer combat system than default Skyrim would be great. Proper shield deflection, parries, counter-strikes, feints...etc. It would be awesome if there were model deformation so you could chop off limbs entirely, too.
