Need help with buoyancy
i need some help with buoyancy well it least thats where i think the problem is. im making an attemt at replicating a ship but its prety deep in the watter(deeper than its supposed to be) so id would like to know if anyone has any tips to increase the buoyancy to get it a bit more above the watter level.

air pumps, replaceing metal with alloy.

i tryed adding more air pumps but they dont change anything. and replacing metal with alloy isnt realy an option since i want it to be functional but still accurate to the ship im basing it off thus no shields and fancy things like that.

you can color alloy to look similar to metal. and only need one airpump in each chamber. more dont do anything.

actually if just going for looks. replace it alll with alloy and change its color to a more metal look is aloso a option.

so if i made small chambers and give them an airpump then i might get more buoyancy?

well im going for functionality to so i need the armour value of the metal since im not going to have shield and such

Armor value isnt going to help against a decent gun.

it actualy does quite well for not having secondairy guns

Only real way to help buoyancy without cheating is to build your ship bigger

make the keel area out of alloy and paint it to look like metal about best thing can say :-(
and my guns chew threw 4-6 layers of metal in couple hits. shields set to invisible about best can do in that case for deflection.

but as master says. not much can do about bouyancy then. he would know better then I.

guess il turn it into a "battlesub" then and start over on a biger scale

shoulnt be to hard just play with the buoyancy and somme control block or use hydrofoils
dragonsphotoworks Aug 27, 2015 @ 12:17pm
airpumps and such work by ceter of mass. cant set it if front drops to use air pump to raise it. would do whole ship. BUT if sub stays in motion hydrafoils and suck work well.

Advice on here sucks, not one of you give an answer and just suggest making it out of alloy that doesn't help anything. If you you're not good enough to offer actual advice on buoyancy then don't bother replying

nobody gives a damn, cause this thread is over a year old, things changed quite a bit and you could just start a new thread and ask nicely
