if they do refund you, which is rare they only do it once... so be careful you might buy something expensive in future which turns out to be a real stinker and yourd be stuck with it

That's BS. They don't give only one refund. That's some weird urban myth floating around.

He's Right they will refund you Only Once as a "curtosy" but afterwards you will not be refunded for any released purchases (unless it's some severe issue where basically Steam removed the game from their listing)

The Only thing they will Refund without Issue is Pre-orders, but once it's released, No Refunds.

Trust me i've done quite a few refunds and have good experiance withtheir policy.

Well I know a guy or two who's had more than one refund. So either you're not that into their policy as you'd like to think, or it simply depends from time to time, as with all customer services.

Then I can also imagine that depends on where you live, since laws has priority over rules.
Anyway, I'm not gonna sit here and debate this... again x) I've said my peace.

OP, contact steam support and see what happens. Good luck.

Yeah, "I know a guy..." right... funny, nobody ever post something like "I got a refund, here's the proof" It's always this "I know a guy who knows a guy" or "I read somewhere that someone got a refund".

You won't get a refund dude. Do some research before you buy next time.

As mentioned above by Scarsick, Reserach... Which is what you should really do before ANY purchase, no matter what it is.

They will do 1 Refund, but after that, you need a serious reason other than "well this game sucks, so I want my Money back"... Yeah... good luck with that...

Ulcerus, if you know a guy who has had more than one refund, the chances are, that he had decent and legit reasons for them, and not purely from not liking the Game.

Or if you live here in the UK is law they HAVE to refund you as many times as you request. We have good consumer rights here. I have had many refunds myself.

That might be true. I'm not all that informed on what the actual games were or how it was done. I only know he's gotten 2...or maybe even 3 refunds.
And if you have the law on your side Steam cannot really deny you a refund either.
So getting more than one refund is by no means impossible - and that's basically all I'm saying. People seem to think that 1 refund is all you can get, ever.

Thank you! This is exactly one the things I'm talking about.

I live in USA and I asked ofr a refund and was told thats not thier policy.. not on this game, a different game mind you, but thats thier policy as far as i know, and going to your bank and stopping payment isnt wise ether cause that could get yer account locked I would bet.....

Well i got 2 refounds already. I'm not sure what the requirements for a refound are, but it is possible to get more than one.

Which is pretty bad in the current market when other gaming sites offer full refunds for crappy games (IE Origins)

EU consumer needs to be given the oppurtunity to test a product, if not they can cancel any purchase during an acceptable period of time. This includes products or services like digital downloads or subscriptions to it.

A demo of the game or a 30 second sample of music is an accepted free oppurtunity to test the full product. If the full product turns out to be false/incomplete/malfunctioning the only route to follow is demand a fix in an acceptable time with the consequence that the purchase / subscription gets reversed if no fix. You can ask an incasso agency to represent you as most will work free of charge when you have taken all required steps.

They do? The distance selling regulations 2000, sort of cover this and require companies to allow refunds for 7 days after the goods are received, but the regulations do also say software is an exception to this if the seal has been broken. Granted, "seal" is harder to define in the context of digital distribution.

Is the right to a refund covered elsewhere? As faulty goods, perhaps? (which again, is slightly harder to define when it comes to software)
