A nice compelling puzzlegame, which shares many features with Minesweeper, though it can't keep up with this game!
I definetly recommend this to everyone, who likes to think in a game in order to beat it. Hexcells (apparent from the name) adds new dimensions to the classical game of Minesweeper: More adjacent fields to one hexagon as well as border numbers, which indicate how many fields of the pattern are in a line/row/diagonale. This adds a new fresh wind into the game, as you might think, that you are now thinking "outside of the box" aswell. Oh, and did I mention the shallow but fitting background soundtracks and sounds? You'll see, this game was created with love and compassion.
Though sometimes, portions of the soundtrack are a little too high-pitched in my opinion. This can get annoying, if you are not used to hearing the same sounds over and over again. Good thing it changes once in a while!
Final Verdict: Great game, compelling, challenging, tricky but fair. Nice soundtrack, nice sounds, simple gameplay yet sometimes hard to adapt to. But you'll get used to loving this game! - 9/10
