Have the devs abandoned this?

Seeing how it isn't on sale and there doesn't seem to be any recent updates on the F2P pinned thread it's starting to seem like it.

This used to be a good game, but with the lack of updates and what seems like a lack of trying from their side isn't giving me much hope for this.

The work on the game is in progress. You can join the discord saloon[discord.gg] to keep track on the updates, as well as watch the streams. There's a lot of balancing going on, including the new outlaw and adding effects for her.

Thanks for replying, but why not just post some updates on steam here and there? Not everyone has Discord, so just having something on here might help a bit to those players. (A good o'l copy paste works just as well.)

Yeah we're trying to keep people in touch, by any means possible. We just don't have the patch notes yet, to keep it all well organised. We're also reworking the subreddit, it will have the wiki, we'll post the steam guide with the stats as well.
The most significant recent changes are:
- Poncho's whip choke, got buffed and can be reliable now, but it has cooldown and shares it with the whip's primary attack as well.
- Deserter's impale was buffed.
- Trapper's traps are thrown faster now.
- a lot of new visual effects for different shots, moves, skills, heals and so on.
- New outlaw. The Gunslinger. In the testing phase.
