New Players: This may answer some questions!
Just as the title says. This lists a few of the resources that aptly answer a number of basic questions. In addition it will keep a list of players that don't mind being friended so they can invite you to games when they're being hosted or for expanding your roster of players you can invite.

The intent with this is to create an environment where new players can request to friend those on this list in order to better find lobbies for the game as well as create an easily referenced resource for ways to explore the community.

When I add you to the list if you wouldn't mind deleting the post in the discussion in order to keep this nice and concise I would appreciate it!

Veterans
If you want to be on this list let me know and I'll add you on. I plan to keep this updated on a frequent basis, so as people come and go I can let newer players know where they can still look.

New Players
I am more than happy to add you to this list as long as you interact with the community and actively participate in games on a regular basis.

Useful information for new players
Guides Section: I would begin with "The Everything Guide"

Feel free to add me and let me now if you need any posts cleaned up.

You can get me in there.

Also opening a Discord server for TRS could be a way to explore as it's keeping the track of all people connecting to the server. Not everyone will add anyone on his friendlist and it could prob help new people to get track of other people playing.

Care to elaborate? I have no idea what you are talking about there.

There's a recent web app called Discord, basically this is the same as TS. Can be used either on browser or by dling their application. Voice/text chat, set your rooms etc.... All is like TS regarding voice chat. Except there are ways to "track", let's say "see" the people connecting on there whatever they are effectively connected or not. And the text chat is more permissive, allowing to chat in whatever room you want from whatever room you are in.

I think this could probably be a good incentive to gather and keep some new players - and maybe vets who left the game atm - if there's a place where they can "see" the community whatever the community is on or not, can ask their questions in the global chat, and be answered in the moment or later if sadly for them there is nobody on the server atm.

Sorry for the double but you can take a look here, I did some server fast for TRS, so if you don't know discord you can make your own opinion. I set the server so anyone can join fresh, you normally shouldn't need to do an account in order to use the server.

Link is not expiring so feel free to try.

If that ends up being something we want to start using let me know and I'll throw it up on the first post as well. I'll fiddle around with it a little bit as well.

Well, hello guys!
Is it necessary to be in TS for proper game?

Define proper.

Voice comm tremendously helps and has always been the backbone of the TRS community. Example: Ever tried to type "I need the group to push to the front" while getting assaulted by a bunch of high treat mobs? Or typing "Help me, i'm snatched!" while being disabled and every second matters? Good luck with that.
