Cogs not working on Mountain Lion
I can't make this game work. It freezes dramatically to the point where it's very difficult even to close the app. I don't understand why. I have a mid2010 MBP running ML. Any help would be appreciated. Thx.

I had this problem too. I turned off the anti aliasing and it seems to have solved the problem. Running mid 2012 MPB ML

Unfortunately, there's a bug in the Mountain Lion graphics drives that is causing a really dramatic crash. I've found a work-around and should have the fix ready on Steam really soon... I hope... I'm already about 20+ hours in to what should have been a 1-hour fix. Until I get that fix out, you can prevent the crash by turning off shadows in the options menu.

This is late, but I noticed under Recent News that supposedly a patch went out 11/8/2012 that supposedly addressed this issue.

Hi! sorry but it's freesing and nothing can't be done, I had to re-start my computer. That's really bad, all the update are done on my mac and on steam...sill same problem.

Hi! I finally fund the solution to Cogs on OS X 10.8.2, witch latest version. You have to go to Steam Mode big picture, then go in graphics and lower the screen size, then not accept Mode picture and get out. Then you have to go in Cogs and do the same lower the screen size and it works, I did remove the shadows but that didn't seem to change anything so it's the screen size ...graphics issue with Steam and not necessarilly with Cogs cause my other game had the same issue, it was just easy to change on the other game but with Cogs it bugs...Hope this helps.
