Controls don't work...

On the keyboard the A/Left key doesn't work...

On the controller the aim/crosshair thing wont move...

I unplugged each peripheral one at a time and tried incase they were crossing with each other for w/e reason but that's not it.

Anyone else have this issue?

Yep, I'm having this issue too. The only way I've been able to get a controller scheme to work at all is mapping left/right/up/down to a/d/w/s, symbol to button 1, jump to button 2 and space, fire to button 3, bomb to button 4, pick-up to right trigger 1 and aim to the right analog stick. That's using the in-game re-mapping too, the out-of-game one does nothing for me.

Makes this very hard to play....

Same issue. Installed, remapped keys, keys did not work correctly in game, checked the config and it had the keys right. That's enough for me to delete the game and rate it badly right there. If you can't even get the basics working correctly, I won't give you another chance.

I shall be asking for a refund under the Australian Consumer Guarantees laws and statutes (which supercedes any other agreements). If you are in a country with similar laws (UK and Australia definitely, but unfortunately not the USA) I would do the same.

Another indie game with half-arsed input schemes, ah well, I'm mighty glad I got this for cheap in a bundle, with the cards I will get the money back.

I'm having the same problem. Used the in-game settings to change the hot keys and can't get my character to enter any of the doors or do anything except walk left and right (at least those keys worked for me after remapping). Hope there's a fix soon.

Hope they fix the controller scheme... I cannot go up or down so i just jump up or down in the ladders , but this probably not help in later levels.

Same problems. Movement with the controller no longer works after rebinding completly unrelated keys (jump and bomb). Movement still doesn't work after "reset keys"

Is any developer planning on fixing the simple control problem? This game, which could be incredibly fun, can't even be played at this point due to the crappy control scheme and to not be able to fix it offends me to be honest.

that's weird...I just started playing and I'm using a controller.
Everything works fine so far, I walk with the left analog stick and aim with the right one. I can shoot, jump, throw bombs, open the menu...

At first the controls were kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, aiming left and right was with the right analog stick and aiming up or down was mapped to the d-pad !? But now it works fine for me

It worked for me. I set all the axes and buttons as I wanted, I left the game, turned it on again and it works. Walking: left axis, aiming: right axis. Shooting: right trigger, jump: left trigger. I have a cable pad to xbox. I hope I helped

I live in the United States and I got a refund. You just have to play under "X" hours and return it within two weeks.

If it helps, I did get an Xbox 360 to work quite well. Does anyone want/need my configuration file to be able to play. You will need a 360 controller but the game is fun if you got one.
