Out of the Park Baseball is one of the best strategy/simulation games on the market. The game is able to present a believable baseball universe where almost anything can happen. Player's run for Senate when they retire, (Derek Jeter), a 22 year old 5 tool prospect retired to play on the PGA tour (#23 overall prospect in all of baseball), and occassional rule changes that effect the game or the financial side of it (lowering the mound). However, you have so many options that you can disable or enable to your heart is content to create your ultimate baseball experience. The robust news engine and ability to track almost everything allows you to see the big picture even if thousands of players are involved.
Do you want to have a 50 team league representing all the states? No problem. Do you want to relive the 1984 season and see how history could be different from that point on? No problem. Do you want to have Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron on the same team? No problem. Out of the Park Baseball is truly a gaming sandbox.
