I no longer recommend this game to anyone due to two reasons, the developer released a non finished game and the developer seems to lack all interest in continuing to support the game. They pushed and pushed saying that they would provide updates at a regular manor. Its' been almost 5 months since release and the developer is just
starting to send out fixes and new features
. Ill post a link on the bottom of my review showing the update plans
. Hardly any of these updates
have been acknowledged publicly in the past couple months after being originally posted on the forums. The developers also had the audacity to mention DLC
this early in the game.
The so called patch
that was released yesterday 10/27/14
was supposed to fix vehicle flying, rock physics, and damage calculations. Nothing was fixed
correctly. Rocks now have little to no
gravity and vehicles still fly. Damage calculations was just reduced by a small margin. Vehicles will still get damaged when bottoming out. Multiplayer chat is now broken and the Supports all steering wheels
is a farce. Only major steering wheels seem to work like the g27. You can't even rebind the steering wheel controls.
Obviously I can't stop anyone from buying the game. Just keep in mind that if you do buy the game, make sure you know that the developers are extremely slow at providing updates and they push out broken patches that require another 2-3 hotfixes
. Don't expect major new features for another few months.
The only reason I do say buy the game
is because that SpinTires is the only decent mudding / offroad game on the market right now. You probably won't see another offroading game in awhile. The game does provide a decent challenge on hardcore
mode. You can expect to get roughly 60 hours of gameplay from both normal and hardcore mode.
If you're looking for variety
in the game, don't bother. There is only one job
you can do & its' basically just delivering the logs. Vehicles can be updated
at the garage
. These garages need to be discovered and unlocked. Visuals & sounds are nothing spectacular. Game is way overly saturated and doesn't have much depth
that separates the textures from each other. There are multiple types of vehicles to drive. Each vehicle has its' own advantage and disadvantage. Vehicles also need to be found and unlocked to drive them. Multiplayer is generic as it gets. Its' exactly the same as singleplayer but with 3 other players. No new jobs, vehicles, etc.
I really hate to be rude
/ brass with my review but developers need to start creating better games and provide better support for their finished products
. I could understand if the game was early access but I payed $30 for a fully finished game. Ill continue to update my review if I see any major improvements in the game.
I do also understand that a very large handful of players will not agree to my opinions / views and I'm totally fine with that. I originally posted a review a couple weeks after the game released but for some reason it was removed. My original review was a complete opposite of this review. I fully supported the game and really believed that this game was game changing
. I basically didn't let the game & community soak in
