To those who don't understand.
The game isn't an arcade racer like Dirt, or a zombie survival simulation like Dayz. It's not a European truck simulator featuring towns, cities and lovely smooth roads, and you don't deliver huge loads of electronics to factories. It's not Grand Theft Auto - you can't get out of your vehicle and shoot a hooker in the face. It's not a first person shooter or a strategy game where you move units around a map, and you definately can't order a horde of goblins to attack another base. The game also isn't a massively online battle arena featureing ancients, nor is it a team based shooter with hats. Look elsewhere if you want to get out of the vehicles and wander around aimlessly, this isn't Arma with mud. There are no guns.

The game is an offroad driving simulation about driving offroad in big old Russian trucks, delivering piles of wood to distant objectives and getting stuck, rolling down hills and sinking into lakes and rivers never to be seen again. You set off with a basic plan and it all goes wrong, so you set off to fix the problem with another truck and you run out of fuel, so you set off with another truck which gets stuck, and eventually you manage to tow something somewhere and unlock something so you can do something else. The key character in the game is the mud, it's always there and you're always fighting it. It doesn't want you to get where you want to go. After a few hours of play you will learn to love the mud and want to be around it more than your own wife and family, that's normal.

The driving is supposed to be difficult - Getting from A to B with various loads is the whole 'point' of the game. If it was as easy as you suggest, you've stripped out the one reason many have for playing it. On a side note - if you think this is hard, never, ever go offroading in real life. You wouldn't last 5 minutes before disappearing in a swamp, to the applause of many.

The camera is a complete pain in the ♥♥♥. We all know this and they will hopefully fix it. See it as an extra diffculty in the game, and enjoy telling people who join the game in a few months that you managed to complete objectives in 'Stevie Wonder Mode' (possible Achi)?

Just take the game for what it is. They did a pretty good job of describing it on the Steam page, and if you're still clueless and dribbling but feel that this offroad game will fix all the social and interaction problems you have in your life at the hospital, why not head to Youtube which has about 5 million videos showing you people enjoying the game?

It's an amazingly fun game, glad I bought it today. First game in a while that has hooked me for longer then 4 hours. Will recommend to friends. Helarious fun.

well said, all the reasons why i bough this game coz its difficult and its the best off-road sim ever made the devs did an amazing job this game is already writing simulation games history.
Only 2 games can make it to be a simulator of the year its this one and American Truck Sim (not released yet), but my vote goes to Spintires, physics used in this game should be a standard in every game
the only things it needs are interior view, mods and official dlcs :)

It's very difficult, it took me 3 hours to deliver my first load of wood... and it felt soooooo good :)

But anyone thinking this is a racegame is well... just stupid.

Why does this game need DLC´s?
The whole DLC thing is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t: You pay for a game but it´s not complete yet... you have to buy a DLC to unlock lvl x or a certain character... that is really rediculous

Oh and to the thread: I like the camera :D yes! Hate me for that! Hate me!!!!

Probably not. Because I would be using my 4x4 and driving in the mud, and not sitting on my couch playing a game with my xbox controler.....
{Garett} Jun 15, 2014 @ 3:07am
I'm lucky enough to have done both, sitting on my ♥♥♥ playing with my xbox controller and sitting on my ♥♥♥ in a Defender getting stuck in mud for no good reason and wasting the last of the worlds diesel for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles. Just pointing out that it's alot more technical and difficult to drive in these conditions in real life than at a computer.

correct, exactly my point of view just i used my rover 25 for off-roading, well tried at least it was all dry and i came trough just fine, in real life off-rading cost a lot of money which i don't have so me too i rather sit on my ♥♥♥ playing spintires "the hill" map with my x360 pad, i love it

It is expencive yeah, luckily I drive like a loon in a friends Defender so I get all the fun and none of the horrible cost, or stripping down of the brakes everytime we go out. I've broken the rear halfshaft a few times, and the annoyance of the repair was enough to put me off owning a 4x4 for life.

This game is a excellent. I've been playing multiplayer with 3 other friends and it is fun as hell. Sure it has a few things that could be better, but those things will get fix or changed. $27 US might seem expensive for a game based of an old tech demo (2010 originally?) but it is worth every cent. Also, Babe the Big Blue Ox (Blue Tandem) is my favorite.
Rawex Jun 15, 2014 @ 4:02am
Well said and i have to say the game is perfect as well, a few bugs here and there, but overall the game feels great and is alot of fun in multiplayer if you have a friend that enjoys that type of gameplay ;P i had lots of fun yesterday with my friends, until my game crashed -.- 2 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ deliver points from completing coast in multiplayer..

I do wish multiplayer had somekind of save option, because completing one of those in one go takes a lot of time.. ALOT ^^ but its fun, great fun.. just needs to be alittle bit less buggy, like not making the things invisible when you change truck, because players who cant see your truck can still drive into your truck and knock over your load.. thats alittle bit annoying and then my load fell off in the middle of the road and no one could see the logs on the ground beside me, because they turned "invisible" when i had to change truck -.- so my friends kept getting stuck logs they couldnt see.. was abit annoying, but we survived it heh

Anyone notice that there is no manual way to save this game?
TheGreyPilgrim Dec 8, 2014 @ 2:45pm
So where can I check how many 'garage' points I got?
