How do I play multiplayer ?

When I click on the multiplayer option it says that none of my friends are playing right now, I can't see any servers nor do I have any other options?

Hey, we designed the multiplayer to be primarily played with friends rather than on dedicated servers. If you want to play online with a friend, you can either try to join through that multiplayer menu or join a friend through the friend's list in Steam.

Ok, I'm just so used to seeing lists of servers that whe this game didn't show me one I tought it was a bug or something.

The only problem I see with this is you have to have a friend that owns the game in the first place. The only thing I find this as a problem is I have no friends that actually own this game.
