Yeah, I agree.
As i have an old XBox console,i checked the net to remind me what console it was on, and see it was out in 2006 and on Xox360 and PS3.And watching videos too only now i think after years,,as back then on pc and the internet was only dial up speed,so dont think bothered to check youtube etc...if on there then?.I did go to the net cafe too over the years on and off,so maybe watched some videos then, just forget now.
But the videos i checked now looked like a good game, lots of nice maps and levels to play, and so many videos on youtube too of this and other games aswell, whole misson's im seeing. How i wondered, first, then i checked the net,and dont think PS2 and Xbox? had it,but PS3 had a video ediitor and uploader in 2006 and PS4 by the looks too ,XboxOne?.Doubt i will buy an old console and game if could find to play it aswell,as no cash. And seeing the videos of the whole singleplayer level, can watch them and enough sort of.But the multiplayer part would be good to play on it for those maps, etc. and are they being played though still ,on the different console's online aswell?.
the internet in 2006 was definitely not only dial up... Cod 3 was the least well received so Activision decided not to port it to pc afterwards. Anyway i still love cod 3 and was playing in multiplayer on 360 about a year ago.
With fast internet avaliable, the game piracy went very high, so the publishers were trying to move their titles to console to run from piracy. It was not only cod, but many games that was previously PC titles started to be developed with the "console first" mentality. It was the dawn and the creation of DLCs (Only consoles had DLCs back then, PC got all as free patch).
So, in that time, what looked like to investors and publishers was that PC gaming was all piracy and free update while Consoles had no piracy and paid updates (DLCS).
It didn't work and PC game remain strong until today, we can say that steam helped that too.
wtf are you on lmfao, dark time for PC game?
Anyhow, with the succes of COD2, they didnt bother to put a game that hasn't been doing so well on the PC. COD3 is the worst in its franchise.
Thanks for the info.
Phil Spencer head of Xbox said he wanted to bring 360 backwards compatible games from the Xbone to the PC, it is just up to publishers to sign off on the ok for them to be released. Personally, if they are never going to ever port it, that would be the second best way to play it on PC. If you want to vote for the game to get the backwards compatible treatment, please do everybody a favor and vote for this awesome game to come to their backwards compatible lineup.

Please at least vote for it. It doesn't hurt.
By the way, the multiplayer on the Xbox 360 version is alive and kicking. I play it all the time. Matter of fact I was playing it last night! The 360 and PS3 ports of it looked freaking amazing! The graphics still hold up and look way better than COD 2 even.
Oh man, indeed it was the dark time for PC games back in decade ago. So many great console games never brother port to PC. Even then they dont even bother making game for PC. At that time, I usually play Emulator/Rom on PC.
