Finally a good game in the series and a great way to end this mediocre marathon.
After 2 failed attempts to make a 3D game BS series finally does it by mixing it with 2D. Beautiful 3D models with 2D and just as beautiful background, no pixelated images and a tasteful color palette... Graphics are simply superb.
As for the gameplay, they went back to P&C. The game has almost the same gameplay as the first two. They polished some rough edges of course (but completely ignored making a double-click function to make the characters move faster). They changed the second lead character Nİco's voice yet again, thankfully not for the worse, and I'm starting think they are doing this on purpose seeing as no voice was used a second time but I'm missing the point of it entirely. Anyway, puzzles are a delight for the most part. There are still overcomplicated unimportant puzzles like every adventure game ever but most of them are just as they should be especially the second half of the game(Yes there are two main parts).
Story is also the best in the series imo. I love christian mythology (no I'm not a follower of the religion) and this is one of the best ones I've seen. The symbolisms, the background, the puzzles... They really connect and you can see they really put effort in it. But the other guys in the story department clearly didn't do as much. Not surprising twists are not surprising, bad guys are cliche at best and ending is disappointing (still better than slaying ♥♥♥♥ing dragons
). All in all it's a fun story.
To sum up: I you liked the previous ones you ARE going to love this one. If you didn't like them or didn't play them it's still a good game worthy of your time.
