Roadmap
This thread will be used to give everyone a quick summary of what is being worked on, what is planned and what known issues there might be with the game. We are working on fixing everything as fast as we can, but please be aware that we’re a small team – as such, some of the planned tasks may take slightly longer for us to get to...

We will not always update this every day, but we will try to keep it up to date and relevant, updating it at least after each patch we make live.

Done / Included in the next patch:
    Near future / High priority:
    • Option to display FPS
    • Better gamepad rumble support
    Planned additions & changes (if given time):
    • Simple replay system
    • System for flagging high scores/replays for cheating
    • Adding high scores for segmented and full any% and 100% runs.
    • Mute sound/music when game is minimised
    • Make sure that the auto fix of texture quality on GPU with low V-RAM only gets applied on first startup.
    • A working Reset To Default button in the Options menu
    • Make some GUI scale better with weird aspect ratio
    • Additional camera settings (slightly adjustable distance, and offset)
    • Taking screenshots should not skip stuff
    • Rival System (Select other players as rivals and receive updates when they beat your scores)
    Known bugs:
    • Game can crash upon switch to a higher texture quality than the GPU can handle
    Wish list:
    • Japanese localization
    • Simple Ghosts
    • Add more/better gun aiming poses for the player
    • Level editor with Steamworks integration
    • Full replays
    • More graphical options for low end machines, including alternative full render pipelines
    • More graphical effects
    • More jump animation variations
    • Additional platforms (Mac and Linux)
    • Console version (PS4, and Xbox One) (this won’t happen without a huge demand for it, as it would require us to completely switch out the physics engine…)
    Feature suggestions that, sadly, will most likely not happen:
    • Full real-time multiplayer, like deathmatch and so on

    Death exit thing can be extreme to some point when you're body is on the floor, time has stopped and drones still homing in on you knocking you around. If death exits only work up to a certain time after death or first bounce then that would be reasonable.

    I agree with removing Death Exit as when you die the time stops and once the time stops you shouldn't beable to move or reach the goal in any way. With what Ogam said enemies can still attack and move you even further then where you landed even though that is an extreme example.

    Hehe, I can see why. :)

    But ghosts and replays would be a nice thing to have, really. I can't count the number of times I have been SO close to get a jump just right, only to hit some obstacle I couldn't see and fall to my doom.

    This rival system sounds really promising! Should be nice if the person added as a rival also gets a notification like "X added you as a rival" (so he may add him back as well if he wants). Maybe make this notification toggable by the person tagging it as a rival (some people might be shy or may shy away from online competitivity).

    Yeah, nice to see that you top speed runners also want to remove the death exit ^^ I would probably need to hear from more of you before removing it, and we would maybe need to get help from you guys to decide if we should remove some of the high score entries, and if so, which of them. (A Window is almost the only map where this can be used “reliably” right now right?)

    What would you say about removing the "shooting through walls" thing then?... ^^;

    heh xD, it's not because our art style can be seen as anime/manga influenced, it's actually because we have some Japanese players, and some of them don't know English very well, so if it's something we easily can add, it would be nice to include imo ^^

    If there are other languages we can support without too much extra work, I would like to consider that as well.

    Yeah, I hope we can implement it like that : )

    Though we will probably have to limit how many rivals you add, you can have a lot of other players adding you as a rival, and tracking that number could be fun as well ^^

    But I can’t make any promises on what we actually will make here, and how it will work. We need to do some testing and so on before that, and we probably will have to go with a system that is pretty quick and easy to implement.

    I look at the death exit and shooting through walls differently. I look at death exit as you didn't finish the level in 30.XXX you died at 30.XXX. As far as I know A Window is the only place its been used but I don't know the maps very well nor have I looked for places it can be used. As with removing scores you might not need to because you can get times in the low 20's without using the death exit. ( I have video of a 22.625 if you want/need proof)

    I don't see shooting through walls being that big of a problem if it stays or if its removed. As far as I know its only used on The Inital Entry to destroy a guardian and I don't think its that big of a problem. If it got to a point where people are destroying turrents or enemies through walls to avoid taking damage lets say after a damage boost where they have low health then I think it would become a problem. The one other place I can see it being a problem is if you guys make a multiplayer but with what you guys are saying that probably wont happen.

    I see a number of things planned for the future, but I didn't see anything much about reworking the control system. It appears to be one of the more complained about issues regarding this game (forums, metcritic). I am still waiting for controller support, which IMO would make this game a bit more bearable, especially since I use a mouse with custom DPI and the game doesn't play nicely with it. I also agree that there should be a window that closes out the timer when you fall or die.

    Very informative list. When I first started playing the game I really wanted the option to use a controller but after finishing it, I wonder how it would even be possible to finish those later levels. I just don't know if it would be possible to wall run, jump, aim and effectively shoot at environmental hazards on the Redeployment level in particular all at once with a controller.

    The one thing that I think would be cool is to make an option in the leader board display for each grade level. Maybe like a little drop down where you can select which grade level S-D. If I know that I scored a D on X level then it would be nice to know what rank in the D's that I am without having to count them all and it would make finding your scores quicker if you suck, which I do :D

    That sounds pretty nice, though, the steam leader boards don't support custom filter options that well as far as we know, so this might be pretty hard to do, or we would need to research it more... but we definitively would like more filter options some how... will probably ad a planned bullet point for researching alternatives for more leader board filter options :)

    A demo might be hard. It's challenging to get it right as we would like it to be a fair representation of the game. But there is a lot more to it than that... especially things like support, as we would like to be able to give all our players as much support as possible. With a really small team to then have to split our attention to support a lot of players playing the demo, is not fair for the once that have already bought the game.

    That is only a brief overview of two large reasons why a demo might not be possible right now, and for the moment we can’t make any promises about making a demo in the future.
