Keyboard controls
I prefer playing the game with a keyboard, but doing so I've ran into a few issues.

First of all it took me a while to figure out that I can skip dialog by pressing space bar. I don't remember that being explained in-game, so initially I resolved to pressing the skip icon with the mouse; something that is rather inconvenient when I otherwise don't use the mouse to play. And I only stumbled upon the alternative by mashing random buttons.

Which brings me to my issue: There does not seem to be any way to bring up a list of keyboard controls. It didn't take me long to forget which keys I had to use to activate fertility and the other "emotions", which again led me to random button mashing. Am I just overlooking something obvious?

My biggest issue though is that I think I've tried pretty much everything but there does not seem to be a keyboard button to toggle the map. In a game like this where exploring/coloring the map plays such a big role, that is really a killer for my enjoyment lf the game. Again I hope I'm just missing something obvious, because control issues aside I really like the game.

F is the orange square, Z is the blue square, X is yellow and C is red. The controls appear briefly above the boxes in your bottom right corner when you start the game.

Thanks, I hadn't noticed that. I still miss being able to toggle the map using keyboard controls though.

Ha! I'd played a couple hours and had no idea there was anything else to it than just bouncing around. I didn't know about "emotions" or these other things mentioned. My guess is alot of players will not know there's more to the game. I would have not idea if not for reading here.

I had no clue, either. Really enjoyed painting the world in different colors. Then, when I brought up the map and saw the emotions to the right, I realized there was something more going on.

I second all of these. Might be a little more helpful if there were keyboard controls for the map, stats and journals

I'm confused, what does C actually do?

I only hve C and the Fire one which I don't like.

When I press C a weird Red banner pops up..then disappears..?

I think C is passion or something like that.

There are three special "emotion" monuments you can uncover. These are used to recreate the tiny things culture. You should try finding the other two before really messing with it, but to use them, you need to use a combination of the three (Z, X, and C) 6 times without moving to make everything of the color you are sitting upon change color to something vaguely determined by keypress tempo, and buildings pop up based upon the combination.
