Update! Achievements, Resolutions.
Hello friends!

It's been a little while - and I've been working away steadily on my side, going through library after library to find something nice that will give you all the achievement glory that you so thoroughly deserve. (That's a story for another post).

But we're here! It's an update! And all of your statistics are applied retroactively - so for those of you with a massive, busy world - you should get an absolute apocalypse of achievements once you boot up the update.

I've also added an initial dialog to allow you to select windowed / fullscreen and a bunch of nice resolutions.

So please, try out the update! If you see anything bizarre - or if something horrible happens (like the game just doesn't boot) - contact me at support@dopplerinteractive.com.

Oh oh - and I've got another update coming up - a kind of... "Special Edition" I guess. I put it together in a knee-jerk 3 hour period for a bundle, but I'm not 100% happy with the level of polish on it just yet. So stand by for that. I've called it the "Warped Perspective Edition". It'll let you decide how you want to view the world (Spherical, Flat or... Super-flat).

This is good news - but I only got 7 achievements on booting up... out of *lots*. Perhaps some of the "tirgger once and once only" achievement events haven't worked? Hmm - thanks for the update though, it's a strange, lovely game :D

Only got a few achievements on boot, restarted game from scratch(only gotten it yesterday :p), achievements for meeting critters don't seem to be working.

Just accidentally got "how dry am I" during play, even though the in-game "cover with dust..." achievement has been crossed off for some time.

If we're keeping track or something, the ones it gave me retroactively were the ones for percentage of the world colored and for getting a single one of each of the collectables. None of the other ~50 or so that I have registered by starting it up after the update (although I did already get a handful of the latter ones I'd gotten to work before the update by using the 32-bit version).

Nalgas - I also only got the colouring ones but only for the colour I was currently spreading (i.e. all achievements about colouring the world up to 90% total, plus 20 & 50% black).

I suspect these were triggered by the percentages changing, since they didn't appear immediately when I booted the game. Strange stuff, but better than no achievements appearing at all :)

Star Collecting achievements arent syncing at all with the ingame "life to do list" for me..

Not quite sure what's wrong with the achievements, but I'd guess there's something messed up between the server Steamworks and the client Steamworks settings/setup:

[S_API WARN] SetStat() failed, stat Total_Coins does not exist - needs to be first configured on the Steamworks site

Those constraint violations seem to happen, just when one achieves the corresponding in-game one.

Though I'm a bit confused about that 'Successfully':

EDIT:
Looks like it's broken for all Achievements which are incremental and have max set to MAX_INT: "56..type.1..name.Squirrel..display..name.Hoarders Met...maxchange.INT_MAX..incrementonly.1..min.0..max.INT_MAX..Default.0..id.56..type_int" is broken,
whereas "9..type.1..name.LeaveHome..display..name.Leave Home...maxchange.INT_MAX..incrementonly.1..min.0..max.1..Default.0..id.9..type_int" works

The total saturation one doesn't work in game either, it didn't get crossed off the list, I was apparently at 100.38% coverage, so there's definitely something wrong there.

Oh man, that's a new error. It looks like there's something jacked-up on the server-side.
Fortunately - it's almost the weekend here, so I'm going to push out an update that no longer relies on the Steam stat system (the system that has caused so many hassles for achievements unlocking) and just says "BAM: Achievement unlocked" based on the game's internal stats.

Hello, i got building archievments , and also got " meeting the Tiny archievments, that i never met\built before. but older objectives seems doesn't compleeted , they already unlocked in-game, but not in steam, as i understand , ii need begin new game and get it again? is there any way to save my previous world, to continue playing on my fancy-painted map?

also, i want thank Joshua for his devblog - for that cognitive development history of that game. ( without it i would not understand how to build other "rare" buildings and paint my world with shining colors! )
