Corporate Lifestyle Simulator

Zero Steamworks integration? No Achievements, Leaderboards, Cloud, Workshop planned?
It's always such a disappointment when a game is successfully voted through the Greenlight process and the developer makes literally zero effort to leverage any of Steam's enhanced features and tools.

Are there any future plans to bring any Steamworks features to this game?

Syncing my progress via cloud is always a very appreciated feature for smaller games with lower performance requirements to resume gaming on different machines. It's also ridiculously easy to implement for just about any game.

Achievements are nice to have, leaderboards, even more than achievements, would add additional motivation for the more competitive players.

And workshop prologues the longevity of any game.

I'm sure he will stop everything to help you ASAP. Did you even try playing the game yet?
May I ask where I requested any help? Or what I said that would warrant such a needlessly sarcastic and hostile reply?

I was merely voicing my disappointment and no, I have yet to play much of "Corporate Lifestyle Simulator" - I did however, play the original "Zombies" and it wasn't exactly engaging enough to be eager to revisit it.

As a little coffee break game, it may still be fun ... but the missing cloud sync disqualifies it for me.
Yeah I get ya man. I think there are supposed to be people at Steam that can help you with integration of Steam features too. The cloud and achievment things in particular are a realistic expectation, I can understand the omission of leaderboards though they would be nice and obviously adding in modding support is more difficult again.

But yeah, bit disappointing to see the stuff like achievments and at the very least cloud syncing missing but I guess the dev just isn't too worried. Maybe the way it's built makes this kinda stuff harder. I won't hold it against him too much.
The dev said on his facebook that he MAY be looking into adding steam cards so that'll be a plus
Its a horrible dev, he used bundle sites to get this game voted through greenlight and then when it came time to give back to the community that got him here he desperately tried to weasel his way out of giving keys to the people who bought it with the expectation of receiving steam key, completely changing the name of the game as well as requesting some private user information from those sites. Finally after all the backlash for his scumminess got too big he caved.

All this to say that he's likely too buttmad about that whole episode, that things didnt go his assbackwards way, to actually provide a standard indie game steam experience with achievements, cloudsaves and workshop support.

He'll likely do trading cards sooner or later because theres monetary insentive to do it, not because the community asks for it.
again, its not his fault that bundle sites advertised steam keys although he never made any agreements to provide them when greenlit. Just because most devs do provide them does not mean you have to do it as well.

How do you know? Do you have firsthand knowledge of the contracts? Or are you just believing the developer over all the other sites that understood the situation differently?
cmon devs!!! :masonfist:
I only care about cloud saves. I could give two s***s about achievements and leaderboards. I could care even less about trading cards.
I too would really like cloud saves, cards would be a nice bonus :RogueMoneybags:
id very much like steam cards.
Actually kinda thought I would still buy this game, even without additions, until I read Escort Mission's post. I like supporting the indie community, but the tradeoff with Indie compared to AAA is me also wanting a dev that gives back to the people who support them. I am not saying I want a monkey for my bidding, but the tradeoff for the indie circuit is the extras, like steam workshop, cheevos, cards, and leaderboards. Hell, I usually read the comic or browse the art work if its added, because it adds depth and flavor to a game... its the umami of a game.
