LAUNCH DAY FAQ (Including moving over your Beta saves)
After more than two years working on Lifeless Planet, release day is finally upon us! Thank you so much for purchasing this game. I have put so much of myself into what you see here, and I'm so glad it's finally releasing!

I often think it was crazy for me to embark alone on such a huge project, but I've never really been alone. From Kickstarter to Steam, my music composer, voice actors, friends, family and on and on, I've had lots of support along the way. Thank you again for sharing in what has become such a huge part of my life.


HOW TO MOVE OVER YOUR SAVE GAMES FROM THE EARLY ACCESS BETA
By default, the final full release of Lifeless Planet will not access your saved game file from the beta (if you played the game in early access). There have been some minor changes to the story/flow of the game for those early levels, but if you want to pick up where you left off, you can copy over your saved game file from the beta. Here's how to do it (be sure the game is not running while you copy these files).

1. Find your beta saved game directory. By default this is located in:
C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Stage 2 Studios\Lifeless Planet Beta\

2. Copy the two text files in that folder to:
C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Stage 2 Studios\Lifeless Planet\


HOW TO RESET ACHIEVEMENTS
You can also delete your saved game file (see above) if you want to try a clean run at the achievements. You won't lose any achievements you've earned, but you'll be able to start a clean game to try to earn achievements that require success on the "first play-through." I'll probably adjust the achievements to make them not require "first play-through" perfection, but for now this solution is an alternative to going for the tougher achievements.


UNDERSTANDING CHECKPOINTS
Lifeless Planet uses an auto-save system for saving game progress. Your progress is always saved at the beginning of every chapter (level), so these are good places to stop and quit the game as you can always safely return to the start of a new level. There area a few other save points in some of the longer chapters. As I write this, there isn't an indicator for where these saves happen. That's obviously an oversight so I'll be adding this feature in a patch and hopefully uploading in the next day or so.


FEEDBACK/BUG REPORTING
I'm sure I missed a few bugs and issues along the way, so please report them here as you find them and I'll do my best to get these corrected asap. I intend to be as responsive as possible to your feedback. As mostly a one-man team, I've had to focus my efforts on core features and rely on the community for feedback. This is why I went to Early Access, and I will continue to adjust, improve and fix features post-launch as well. During the initial days (and especially during E3) I'm sure I won't be able to respond to every post, but I will be carefully monitoring and reading all the feedback. I've also hired a programmer to assist me in this effort. Thank you in advance for your patience as I try to keep up with the insanity of launch week. =)

well good luck and a fair wind to you---i loved the beta,i got it because i got a quick answer from you---so when you are sunning yourself on your private island,counting your riches--remember a small amount came because you answered with the personal touch

Thanks for all your hard work Dave I am ingame now so off to play for a while. One thing I noticed straight away was @ 1920x1200 it is now letterboxed but the early access was full screen @ 1920x1200? Is this correct?
Hmm, no it shouldn't be letterboxed. I haven't heard reports of that before now, so maybe take another look at your video card/screen settings and let me know if that persists. If so, please send me your monitor, graphics card specs so I can investigate.

Thanks for the quick response. I know why its scaling now. I have an Nvidia GTX 780 Ti. If I set the Scaling option in the Nvidia Control Panel to be No Scaling + Perform Display Scaling it fills the screen @ 1920x1200 @ 60Hz. If I set the Display scaling to its default GPU Scaling + Perform Scaling on the GPU it does not fill the screen. Think its the game engine does not support 1920x1200 @ 16:10 aspect ratio without scaling.

Achvs do not appear to be popping onscreen either. I got 2 but neither appeared onscreen when I earned them.

Achvs just appeared as I exited the game is this correct?
Not sure why that's happening (or not happening,as the case may be). Will investigate...
since it's out of beta , shouldn't it be advertised in the new releases tab? maybe you should look at it, many people don't know about this wonderful game.
p.s i'm very glad i will play it through the weekend

At last.....not even joking here, I've been having dreams about what is behind that alien gate. I spent hours trying to climb those hills around it to get a peak over the wall......stupid I know.

Anyways I've been quite surprised at the optimization of the full launch. Certain parts used to lag like hell, upon full release I was kind of full of anticipation to get to the Russian town to see if it had been sorted out. Aw yeh, I was impressed.
