it's a fun game even if it's short it's an intense experience ...
the visuals are great , nicely drawn sprites , the controls are good and the music fit the mood. very arcades like , simple but very much alive. the levels are designed pretty much like some of the older watch and games sort of gameplay in the sense that yes , the character can only move from two different spot as he jump on to another. there are specials attacks that can be unlocked by gathering music discs and the game become slitghtly easier once you got your hands on all of them , It's always fun to comeback and fire up a few rounds , try to better your endless mode scores or just replay the regulars story mode levels.
thru I wished they din't made the samurai such a cheap fight , he move so fast that the only way to avoid his attack is just memorizing what he is gonna do and try again and again untill you know everything that he his gonna do before he does it , he is kind of a stain in what would be a finely tuned game which is hard , unforgiving but fair challenge.
well I did said that the controls are good , with the keyboard and mouse of course but then they completly messed up the gamepad controls. I don't know why or 'what the hell they where thinking?' ... when played with a gamepad the controls are the like of an old arcade twin shooters which is fine but where it's hurt is that the same joystick which allow you to shoot your gun around also move the camera to it's maximum distance ... the camera become completly chaotics when you start shooting around with a gamepad , it's just become a unplayable mess.
overall I leave a 7/10 for this game , it's would be a 9/10 but a cheap ♥♥♥ endgame boss and messed up controllers support can't stay unpunished.
