which copy protection has this version ?
i have the retail version with gfwl will the retail key become a steam key ?

Uh, the retail version didn't have GFWL, it had Securom activation.

This game doesn't seem to have anything other than Steam. :D Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Not a big problem, to be honest...
The biggest problem of this game are the controls.
Still worth it for that price. :P

Additional Notes: An internet connection is needed at install, first launch and to revoke license.

So it still has the crappy DRM. Unless they patched the game it won't run properly on Windows 8 either.

no patch - game is from atari and atari does not existen anymore

But still it is released on Steam today. So there are people who own this game and can make it patched.

game is by Eden Games, not atari.

@diablo, atari not involved with this in any way.
hydravision entertainment, says it right on game page,
no of course eden not closed, eden site been new re-open since july.

Working just fine in Win 8.1.

It ran on WIndows 8, but early on the rope physics flipped out making a climbing segment nearly unplayable. I gave up on the game back then, because the odds of a later segment being completely unplayable were just too damn high.

Seeing some videos of the later sections in the game made me think I dodged a bullet there. The ending is also TERRIBLE (both of them) and not just because it's a sudden cliffhanger ending.
