Linux port?
Is there any chance that this game will be brought to Linux, seeing as you all brought it to Mac as well? TRPG's are my favorite and I'd love to be able to play this game.

I'm still looking for news on this. Anything? I've seen that playing through Wine has had problems.

Fell in love with this game. Want a Linux port as rebooting to Win is annoying. Especially they HAVE Mac port and porting to Linux is in many ways similar.

Unlikely. They've done a Mac port for the first game, and dropped the idea afterwards -- which usually happens when it's "not worth it".

I doubt that digging out the old game and redoing it on Linux would cause a surge in sales.

Heck, the "latest" report on the Wine database seems to be from late 2009 -- with that many Linux enthusiasts playing it, making a port will surely be a win :-)

Here's a quick recap on King's Bounty/Linux situation:
- The game was (is being) developed by Katauri Interactive, not by 1C.
- Developers are reluctant to give any answers. The only clue I found was redirection to 1C forum by moderator of game support forum, something like "Go ask 1C about port".
- The dude asked the question to Katauri asked it again to 1C and forum administrator redirected him back to developer.

It looks like Katauri doesn't have enough manpower to address Linux port after they went mobile version of the game or they believe it's not worth their time, moneywise. Of course I can only speculate but all King's Bounty games looks like they are using same game engine. If so porting this engine to SDL2 would benefit all the games at once and improve their buggy Mac port too.
