King's Bounty: The Legend

King's Bounty: The Legend

It's getting really hard...
This game is quite hard, i am trying to deal with Karador in the dead world, but i can't defeat him! I got a quite cool spell thanks to the tree of life but even with that i can't succeed to defeat him.
I am level 20, do you think i am underleved ?

I am playing on hard mode ... and it is getting pretty impossible. Hell, and the dragon zones are pain.
If you don't mind cheating...

Just hold down the SHIFT + ~ (tilde) keys together, then a message box will appear in the
middle of the screen. Type in any of the codes below (while in Adventure Mode) with the
exact number, next press ENTER to add.

Code: Effect:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
money <#> Add or Subtract <#> gold
leadership <#> Adds <#> amount of leadership
doublearmy <slot> Available slots are 1-5, it will double the number of troops in that slot.
If you do not choose a slot number, it doubles all your troops
magicbook Gives all Level 1 spells in your spellbook and gives 7 of each spell in
scroll form to your inventory!
rune <#> Gives the number <#> of all 3 runes specified
crystal <#> Gives the number <#> of crystals specified
levelup <#> If you type a number, it will give you that many levels of experience.
If no number is typed, it just gives one level!
mana <#> Increases maximum mana by number specified. If no number is given it only refills your mana
rage <#> Increases maximum rage by number specified. If no number is given it only refills your rage
spirit <#> Levels up your spirits (maximum level=30 !!)

Hi comcen99, thanks for that, but i do not want to cheat, otherwise i won't fell pround of having beaten the game. I succeed to defeat him, i changed my team (unicorns are really really cool).
Try to kill him later, when your hero gain more experience and become stronger.
Those codes are not working for me.
Well i did defeat Karador without cheating, and i haven't played the game since i got stucked in the demon world.
I do believe i made some wrong choices about my character, i am lvl 22 and even fully supplied with troops, i still loose too many troops.

And hell, troops are expensive and not unlimited...

One of the first game which beat me ^^
I seem to have reached a point where the cost to replace killed troops exceeds the gold I am winning at the end of battles. And I can't think of any places where I've left some lower level monsters undefeated that I could go back and pound on for some easier gold. So it's getting real tough for me at this point too. Maybe there's some quests I've skipped that I could go back and finish.
I can feel your pain Xerxes Aragon, i have personally given up my first campaign, not ony because of gold, but also because of reinforcement and bad choices in my character skills.
My best advice is try again if it's really too tough, unfortunedly, the game is quite long and i no longer have the time to spend too much time on it ^^
I'm with you Xerxes and Arckal; after entering Hell, im losing waaaaay too many troops per fight, and they dont sell any good ones worth buying to resupply with down there either. After starting as a Warrior and getting destroyed in most of my fights up to lvl 14, I started over as a Mage and pretty much went breezing through the game spamming fireball/fire rain until I hit dragons. Fire immunity =(
Then finally after getting through with them, you go straight to Hell, and of course everything down there either has fire resistance or immunity. I admit to having given up on the game for a few weeks, but im resigning myself to the fact that if I want to even attempt to beat it, im just going to have to suck it up and let my troops get wasted.
Don't try to fight anything in Demonis ("Hell") under you've cleared out Ellinia (Elf lands) and Death Valley/Wasteland. You can reach it as soon as you hit the dwarf lands and you should give it a walk around for items/shops/troops but just don't bother trying to fight anyone.

And that quest to steal the egg from the dragon lands? If you're in it for the quest alone, you can do it as soon as you hit the dwarflands. If you actually want to kill the dragons though, you'll need to come back at the very end of the game. You'll need to do this anyway to kill Archdemon Baal (optional quest).
Good luck Zambyra...but at least it is a good game why is challenging, i won't complain about that :p
i agree i'm just gonna go back to normal, i made it to level 7 and now i'm stuck cause i can't deal with all the overpowered armys. it was fun though,
