or just find the players yourself in the forum and recuit a team to do stuff with makes it a lot more fun
Play on solo or be the host and you'll never get kicked. The host has control over who stays and leaves, obviously.
I've played with old and young players alike and there's no telling what the preferences and dislikes of people are.
The key in Gauntlet, and any other coop game, is to find a few players to be friend and make a closed lobby.
Feel free to add me if you want to try to get some Gauntlet co-op going, but I can't promise I'm any good. I think part of the problem is since Gauntlet is strictly an automatchmaking or 'manually invite off friends list' co-op game -- i.e., there's no list of online co-op games to browse and join as in Helldivers -- you can't really gauge if anyone's still playing or not.
P.S. Arrowhead's new official forum has an "Other Games" section. While Arrowhead's no longer involved with Gauntlet (they're not even allowed to provide tech support for it anymore), we have some Gauntlet discussions going on there, including a "General chat; Gauntlet" thread I created, and a "Gauntlet LFG" thread. Please stop by and babble there if you like Gauntlet and still want to talk about it a bit.
