Game randomly crashing and other issues

Bought the HoI 3 Collection in the sale the other day and started playing. Its great fun and all, but I am experiencing some technical problems.

- After a while, the music stops playing.
- After a while, graphics in the interface seem to dissappear. Alt + tab to windows and back to the game seems to solve the problem, but it would be nice if I could fix this.
- If I am playing and try to quit the game the regular way, it freezes after I confirmed that I want to quit.

And, the most annoying thing of all: the game crashes, seemingly at random. Sometimes its after an hour, sometimes after ten minutes.

According to steam, my video card drivers are up to date. I downloaded new audio drivers, but that didn't help either.

I have an I5 2500k, AMD HD 6700 and 8 GB RAM. I am using windows 7 64 bit.

Can anyone help me with this?

i have all the issues that you have but still no fix, it's getting really annoying!

It seems like it's only started since the last DLC, for me parts of the screen go blacked out, or are just blank, which is followed by a crash a short while later.

Yeah.. same here.
Save & restart the game. It's annoying...

I have fixed it bij subscibing to the Paradox forum. On the tech support subforum you can download a hotfix that solved all problems for me. I cant give you a link to the hotfix, you will have to register to the forum yourself, but that's very easy.
