Their Finest Hour

Just bought HOI3 yesterdy. Worked fine (although I'm stll trying to figure out what the hell I'm doing). Bought Their Finest Hour DLC today and it doesn't work. The game doesn't load and I get a "missing tdd.dll file" message, and can't run HOI3 at all.

Two questions--anyone know how to fix this tdd.dll thing?--2nd is that I bought Their Finest Hour primarily so that I could install the Black Ice mod. Does Black Ice require TFH in case I can't fix this??

Any help would be appreciated.

The expansions only work when installed in order : Semper Fi > For The Motherland > Their Finest Hour.

You cannot use one with out the previous one.

Yes it sucks Steam does not tell you this, but.. Steam... well, they got their money.

Yup. They got their money. Might as well buy the other two. I've come this far. If their was a way to install Black Ice without any DLC, I'd do that.

its thier store page to edit as they see fit

It should have been made clear by both imo, smoking man. Not a big deal in this case, but could cost someone a lot more in others.

Anyway, bought both additional REQUIRED DLCs for TFH and everything works fine. Going to install Black Ice now.

i only know all this after getting completely butthurt over it many years ago
the game likes to omit Dll's regardless of correct install also,but being Dll's you can find them in many other games and just copy them over,total war series has most of them
now just wait till you try to create a paradox acc to get podcats LAA,that in itself maybe some sought of paradox
other LAA's do work with it though

It's happening now (lol). The game works fine but when I try to register it I get an Error message. Trying to install Black Ice with this workaround-- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwejZqaqQTM

Yep, I do not have the Steam version , but over the years seeing people post here with the exact same issue and telling me it did not indicate you needed previous expansions was my downfall.

Does it also tell you that when you purchase the "collection"?

prolly not becuase it does not need to
but if you don't have the steam version,you can just look for yourself,just don't click the "buy" button (you can still back out even then)
