Very nice 3-button-game (left, right, jump).
You (you play as a colon) have to jump around very nice looking worlds and collect the letters of the alphabet plus asterisks (sometimes a bit harder to reach) plus ampersands (hidden or hard to reach) if you like, but its optional.
There is even a hidden bonus level where you can prove your skills and race through a difficult and fancy track - it will be a steep learning curve here XD
The whole game is not too easy to master, but definitely doable. I did it in about 6 relaxing hours incl. reading all the stuff and getting 100% - playthrough time should be about 3 hours or so incl. reading a bit.
It plays fine with a controller (i played it with a XBox360 wired Controller on Ubuntu 14.04x64) as with the keyboard (left, right, space), but as it doesn't need high precision speed aiming i'd recommend the controller as it's more comfy.
As it's not so long-lasting i'd recommend to get it on sale (or in a humblebundle like i did), but if you're interested in fonts and like side-scrolling jump'n'runs i'd give it a try ;)
Also if you're under 14 (or have a child) it might be well suited, as the base game (without collect all types etc.) can be beaten by a child and might have the balance of difficulty to challenge you/your offspring is just right + it contains no real harsh violence. If steam still exists in a few years (and i believe and assume that) i'll give my mini-me a brief lession in jump'n'run games with Type:Rider ;)
