A wishlist
Thought I would make a sort of wishlist with things we would like to suggest to the devs regarding (hopefully)"fairly" simple changes that maybe can be made. I will gather any pertinant suggestions and update this op. Please don't post major changes like I want transformable terrain, feeding animals or something like that. Just talking things that would make the game easier use ect. I think my first suggestions make a good example of what I am talking about.



*** toned down reflections for sunlight and headlamps , overly bright reflections at sunrise/sunset and nightime using headlights(trees at the right angles that look plastic like they are so shiney).

DONE(patch 1.007).............. M to close the map as well as open.

***A close button on pop-ups instead of only escape.

DONE, Patch 1.008.....Ability to map controls to joysticks,gamepads,wheel buttons.

***A compass for the spinning map so we dont have to keep checking the big map.

Addressed Patch 1.008...... A more "see thru" windshield on vehicles.

(MOVED TO BUGS THREAD... For the fertilizer graphic(the white dots) to go away after a season. Currently it stays until plowed which is kinda wierd cause those granules in realife dissapate with rain I believe. (this could maybe be a bug though?)(edit strike that they stay there permanent for me just plowed and they are still there.))

***Better(smoother) camera collision. (no camera zoom for simple things like telephone wires).

Done (patch 1.011) Selling vehicles and equipment(this has been mentioned by a dev but including it here).

***Cruise control for all vehicles for long travels at least(at least a top speed setting)

***Tab to switch between vehicles or another key.

***Optional neighbor missions for free play for a little extra money.

***A way to pause the game while still in the game.

Done (Patch 1.011)A seperate player save ability for more player control.

***A way to get back to the main profile screen to change profiles without restarting.

***Helpers for fertilization, only job they don't do.

***A dbl ignition off - power(radio/lights) - start/run

***Make the hotkey that closes the speedo and the map a three way with the third being just the map showing since we have working gauges.

***A store with catagories and feedback on if we already own that particulliar item.

***An improved store spawning area with more than just two slots. Slots arranged to eliminate the chance of connection points not being accessable.(facing eachother/wall ect)

***The ability to reset an impliment.

***Maybe a fee to have an impliment delivered to the farm.

Addressed patch 1.008(still needs work)............ Better bank with the ability to pay back partial loans ect. Info in interest we pay. Still need info at the point of sale(the bank) ie, is the interest the same for each amount? What is the interest? How often is the repayment?(for beginners of coarse)

***A horn

***A 4x4 option

(not addressed)Addressed Patch 1.008........More in depth crop decision making. ie Better yield for planting early. Better yield for the next crop after using a winter crop like luvin( might of mispelled it's getting late).....also maybe this is in the game??? Can a dev elaborate on this particuliar thing please as I have read in spots that something like this is in effect but no confirmational statement.

***I don't know what the RL crop growth times are but if they vary by a few months can we have the crop times changed to reflect this? ie say soybeans take longer to grow in RL(idk if they do) then add an extra season to the time it takes for them to be harvest ready. this would make for much more interesting field planning.

Addressed(Patch 1.011)Multiple saves for the autosave. 2-4 but at least 2 so if game crashes or becomes unplayable an older save can maybe be used.

***Field numbering and a better way to tell field status without cursoring over each and every field.

***If harvest can be altered by farming too much(soil nutrition depleation), not fertilizing ect, once the harvest variable bugs get worked out, maybe an added line in the PDA and field map for "soil condition" or something to that effect. So when soil condition gets low, you plant luvin for instance and let it sit for fallow after harvesting or something for a bit to get the soil condition percentage back up.

***A lower volume on the harvester fill warning and/or a kill switch for it. ( I think kill switch for the sound preferred by most)

***A growers guide explaining the ins and outs to achieve the best harvests(after it gets fixed)

***An in-cab indication of the impliments condition(raised/lowered ect)

***Better gamepad controller options.

***Reset default button and esc for getting out of controller set-up.

***Field plowed direction remembered.

***Zoom on map screen.

Padding out the M for closing map suggestion I'm keen to see close buttons on popups (eg: fuel/seed).

Having to keep reaching for Esc after any given popup requires a mouse action is kinda annoying. A minor thing granted.

I'd like to see collisions on the camera be abit smoother. RIght now if you drive under something like a telephone wire, you'll zoom in for that split second. It's fine to zoom in if your getting close to a wall, but passing under wires or tree branches is abit much.

I would like to add the ability to map controls like getting in and out of a vehicle and other controls that are hidden in the control settings.

More animals, having just ducks as a bonus over chickens and cows from Farm Sim irks me. The choices you had in Ag Sim 2011 were about the biggest variety, I wouldn't mind seeing that part of the series make a comeback. The map is plenty big enough for six or seven types to appear in other pens throughout the world, let alone us being able to buy and raise them.

It doesnt feell like working on a farm you dont feed your animals as you did in farming simulator.
Workers you dont even see them with a click of a button your done.
Farming simulator 2013 looked arcade but it has alot of futures that you feell working as a farmer in this game i see none just a click of a button.
Not trying to troll or anything but its to simple .
I like the machanicks of the game but to be enjoyable they have to add alot of futures and have you more haands on as a farmer. Not with a click of a button problem solved.
Upgrade your buildings buy and add machines watch workers working on the farms
go feed your animals carry the bails .
I dont know if what im saying makes any sense but thats all i had to add.
Just wondering where entering 2014 in a month and how complicated it is still the developers and publishers cant build a decent farming game.

True, actually the feeding on FS 2013 was kinda weak, but it was there. Agri Sim had the real in depth caretaking of animals. I miss seeing my hired workers on the field too, but for now I'll just assume they are on the nightshift.

However, I would rather NOT see the workers if they do their job properly, than see them making horrible mistakes such as flipping over or behaving irratically. AI can be a tricky thing to fine tune sometimes.

Kind of a backseat moderation ,so i disagree:

- i would see a real mini dairy, where you can empty the milk and produce cheese or butter for selling on the market. Just feed the cows aren't enough
- selling eggs from the ducks and chickens at the market
- a greenhouse where you can produce tomatoes onions or herbs and harvest them for selling on the market
- potato and sugarbeets as crops in the game.
- a beehive for honey production
This wishes can maybe be an later DLC

cruise control for tractors is an absolute MUST!!! My peddal finger gets sore! :)

Loving the game for the most part and look forward to the many improvements that will hopefully come!

I want the dirty vehicles to return, that was awsome, wash it to clean it!
there seems to be stuff missing as well, greenhouses?

+1 on the modding and dirty part. Always bothered me in FS13 too that your stuff always looked like new (tires and stuff)

Also I would like to see a button to switch between your vehicles. I don't like going to the map, change tab and look for one tiny vehicle to click. TAB like in FS13 would be perfect! :-)

That's a good list of wishes so far, I guess the only one I would add is kind of taken care of with controller mapping, but as I use an Xbox controller I would love to move the view with the right thumbstick whilst using the left for steering and the triggers for the throttle. Balancing the controller and using a mouse for view changes is tricky!

That aside, I am enjoying the game sofar, it was the right decision to get a new team involved.
PS. I too would like to see the workers work, amkes the world feel less lonely!
