Streaming Radio - STDS

I am learning how to edit the live_streams.sii file enabling in-game live radio streams which is proving to be very difficult. There isn't much guidance or supported live stream radio that this game will play. The only thing I can find is that the stream must be in .mp3 format although on the official web page http://www.scaniadrivergame.com/en/radios.php it states

"Supported streams

The game supports all MP3-type streams (except MMS). If you have proper codec installed you may be able to listen to many other stream formats."

Most of the live stream radio stations that I want to play are .aac and .flv format.

Does anyone have a better explination of how to get this working or know what it is talking about having the right codecs installed for other playable formats?

So far I have gotten these two to work
