ALMOST there, but a major lack of polish, poorly mapped keys and an inability to remap, combined with insta-death platforming ruin what is an otherwise enjoyable game.
-Simple but good RPG elements for a hack n slash
-Cutscenes can be skipped easily
-Graphics weren't bad, but they certainly aren't good.
-Voice acting was hit and miss. Overall not bad.
-Controls can't be remapped.
-Default control mapping is TERRIBLE (WASD to move, F to dodge; very unnatural key especially when trying to move in the D direction)
-Camera can't be controlled. (Combine this with the poor default controls and instant death platforming...)
-Animations are clunky and awkward.
I skipped all the cutscenes (as I almost always do in games like this) and this was a breeze which is important as forced cutscenes (esp in areas where they are repeated due to deaths) is an incredibly infuriating experience, but thankfully here it is not.
However, the poorly mapped controls combined with an inability to remap keys is a major deal breaker. There are several platforming elements that result in an instant death and send you back to the last save point, which means you usually have to fight a number of mobs just to get a chance to make the jump again....and if you fall....fight those mobs again...tedious and frustrating since the only reason you will fall is due to the bad controls (the platforming elements themselves are VERY simple and straightforward).
With some polish this game can be quite fun, but it needs to fix the controls first and foremost.
