Not booting [FIXED]

Anyone else having this issue? Never played Talisman and figured this would be a decent enough intrdocution, but I have yet to get the game to even boot.

Already tried running under admin - no dice.

ok I just figured it out. Just add the Talisman game exe to your Data Execution Prevention(DEP) for windows 7. Im running win7pro 64bit. I have my DEP set to Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select

Yeah, I'm on 64 win 7 myself. Tried reinstalling and verifying game cache to no avail.

Windows Vista here, S3E simulator debug error keeping mine from booting, as well. Seriously lame.

Windows 7 32 bit and game just won't launch. Can't find anything on their own forums that sound the same as our problem neither.

Kaedo, what graphics card do you have.
I use a Radeon HD5700, and in my browsing through google I read about some problems with ATI cards and marmalade and s3e or something.
Anyway it would be an uncanny coincidence if you had an ATI card too...?

Yup, Radeon 6950 here. Well that's just lovely. First game I've ever bought on Steam that won't boot out of the (figurative) box.

It's not your Radeon cards. Same issue here, Windows 7 64bit, NVidia 670.

Funny thing is no problems running it from Desura.

Yep that does the trick for me, odd it wasn't needed for the Desura version

lol, well Ive had some practice trying to get some older games steam is selling to work. So I tried one of the many new tricks ive learned. This one was actually a new indie game and I was suprised it didnt work. Ive only had trouble with older games like Fallout 1 & 2 but patching them fixes their issues. The only game I have yet to get to work is Gorky 17. Is to bad it looked really fun and my type of game. Anyways glad this fix worked for everyone so far, enjoy
