I really like this game and although the "Complete" title is a bit misleading, a 5-minute read of the review section (which you should do with any game you are about to buy) can tell you that this is not the COMPLETE complete version. And it's not a disaster if you don't read the reviews anyway. I actually like this game more than the Chronicles (real complete) version.
This game is great*. I like how it's not a game where you go off on your own and conquer every nation in Europe. Doing something like that is EXTREMELY difficult, just like it would be in real life.
The events make every game different. Even if you are in Europe and there has been no outside interaction in the Americas, it will look very different every time which is something amazing that is not included enough in some similar games.
Although the game's content is mostly fantastic there are a few issues. One of them that I noticed recently is that it ALWAYS calls your monarch a king even if you have a queen. There are also some occaisional typos and visual errors. The biggest issue is that it crashes fairly frequently. Sometimes it crashes after 3 hours of playing (common), sometimes it crashes before I even load my save (uncommon). The multiplayer also seems to be broken for me which is a bit frustrating.
*The game is great if it is played in Europe. If you play in India or China, or anywhere not in Europe, your technology advances a lot slower and there is a lot less depth of gameplay. What makes Europe so much more interesting is Crusades, the Papacy, and the Holy Roman Empire. If you play somewhere else, you lose those things and gain nothing else which is a shame.
Even though this game has its flaws, I still highly recommend it.
