Help! Can't issue terms with Hordes!
I updated my EU3 files, and verify. All clear.

This is my problem. I am playing as Shogun of Japan. And Japan is not unified in my game yet.
I am colonizing into Russia, big time! I have bumped into Moscowy; Manchu, and now the Oriate Horde!

The Oriate declared war on me automatically. So I invaded them and conquered 100% of their provinces. My War Score is 100%. I can Annex them. However, whenever I try to enter into the standard "make terms" menu (where I can effectively sue for Annex); that menu will BLIP out on me, super fast! I cannot click on any of the options, the menu just disappears so quickly. Also, I noticed that the War Score space, in the that menu is 'blank'! Which is rather odd. It should not be blank.

This is seems to be a bad game-bug. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there are way to fix it?

I cannot continue my game proper, with this forever war, and enemy just sitting there forever destroyed, but still in game. All Oriate provinces are seiged-to-success. And I do not see any more of there armies around.

At least with the latest expansions, you can indeed not gain territory from hordes that way.

If I remember correctly, you can only colonize their territory. This takes a long time (10yrs+ per) and will cancel when you lose the territory in question even for just a second.
You also need to stay continously in war in order to be able to colonize.

"Cannot win or lose provinces normally. Instead, civilized neighbors may colonize provinces that they control. If a settlement reaches 1000 people it defects."

Lembley42 is correct, you have to colonize all the territories one by one. That is why when playing Muscovy it is advisable you focus on one horde at a time. Avoid taking provinces bordering Nogai until you kill off the Golden Horde, etc...

Just throw them a few pennies of tribute or white peace. Pause the game to get diplomatic.

helpful, thanks fellas. I am confused about colonizing horde territories though. How do I do this? Because when I click on a horde territory (which my armies sit on, conquered), it shows up as theirs and grid-locked due o my army presence on top of it. All it gives me is the option to 'sue for peace'. However, it does not appear that I can colonize said territories. There are no options for me to send over colonists.

Are you saying that I have to leave my armies on these Horde territories for 10 years straight (while at war) before they will cede territory to me? But this part has nothing to do with colonizing, does it?

When that Oriate Horde, did have an army (before). They sent it to one of my territories in which I was still colonizing. And right away they took it over. I lost my colony, and that province became Oriate. So I sent an army to it, and subjugated it. But it STILL belongs to Oriate? Now in province menu, it also options 'sue for peace'.

And all their provinces where I never colonized on, just invaded... same thing. I subjugate and they all offer 'sue peace' options. Ware Score 100%.

Awfully annoying actually. Not very realistic. If I can't annex these provinces of the Horde. Then I should be able to colonize them all (which it seems that this is not possible also). And to wait 10 years time before they auto cede to me!! .... geez. Very unrealistic.

You need to border the province to colonise it.
