Tree pad jump - advice please?

i am having a nightmare trynig to execute the tree pad jump (the one that gives you the super high jump) it just never seems to work correctly or at all for me.
i jump then press down... any advice please i just cant get past the bit with the bees and needing to perform 3 to get up to the left.

I had some trouble there too. What happened was I was hitting the jump key during the high jump. You can't hit it until you've hit the peak, or it messes up. Maybe check if you're doing that. I hope that was helpful, if not, then sorry.
