Violett's powers kinda ruin the game....
She can move heavy objects with her mind from a distance, she eventually learns to levitate for a short time, but... we still have to do everything the hard way.

It's incredibly frustrating to see Violett grab an item from a certain distance than she suddenly can't grab a closer one because the puzzle demands it.

I can lift a heavy ladder with my mind, but I have to climb this ladder to reach a rope?

I know the game would be a cake walk if Violett could just fly over obstacles and grab any item from any distance (which she does a lot of times), but still, some consistency in her powers or a reason she can't use them all the time would be nice.

I haven't played the game myself, but that sure sounds like bad design to me. A cardinal rule of adventure game design is not to give the player powers that could hypothetically be used to solve a large number of puzzles but in practice only solve the one or two things the designer had in mind for it to solve. If the player can't do something that seems reasonable, there needs to be a good reason, and "that would be too easy" is not a good reason.

Yeah, it's not that well designed, I don't remember using the floating powers at all except for collectibles, which is incredibly stupid.

Speaking of "collectibles" I love how the game doesn't tell you how important they are until it's too late.
