Infinity Wars is, for me, one of the best TCG's out there. Most may argue that it's not as good as MTG but still, compared to most other popular card games... *ahem* Hearthstone
*ahem* it get's the golden medal.
One of IW's main feature is the "simultaneous turn* mechanic. Both players have about a minute or so to plan out their turns. When they are done, the cards are played out simultaniously. This feature might seem pointless just by itself, but in conjuction with IW's multiple zones, it makes the game a ton of fun. It adds a new element to the genre, the element of Bluffing
Here's an example on how this works:
The Assault and Defense Zones are the Battlefield, The Support Zone though is not part of the Battlefield. Most cards are useless if they sit on the Support. Now here's where it gets interesting. Many cards target specific zones. Most "kill" cards ,for example, target cards on the Battlefield. If the targeted card is moved outside of the Battlefield the turn the "kill" card is played, it has no effect and is thrown to the used pile. Players can predict such cards or even try to waste them by bluffing (ex. playing a strong character but not moving it to the Battlefield).
This adds huge amount of strategy and depth to the game. Not only does it make it very interesting but it limits the cards' power, a player with a great mindset will easily outplay his opponent even if his cards are much inferior.
Another small positive is that every card is animated. Some may have a very simple animation , like a character moving as he breaths heavily, while others can have up to 5 wooping seconds of animation.
In addition, the devs are pretty generous towards new-comers. Cards can be earned very easily and most cards are balanced. Not to mention the community if pretty friendly and welcoming.
The only negatives are the bugs, but still the devs are constantly working towards removing them. It's a must-try if you are a TCG fan!
