WHAT IS IT?

With the impending release of The Talos Principle in less than one month, we’re giving another opportunity for you to increase your chances to win a free copy of The Talos Principle. We want to spark the creativity within our community and see what ideas unfold.

This contest is organized by community members, for community members. We will be giving away two free copies of The Talos Principle to the best entries just in time for the game’s launch. We understand it can be difficult to come up with ideas for a game that is not yet released, but you can also use this as an opportunity to be as creative as you’d like. In addition to the Talos Principle Public Test and Sigils of Elohim, you may consider looking at the following promotional materials for inspiration:

GameTrailers.com Just Played The Talos Principle full game alpha

  • Photoshop edits
  • Hand drawn art
  • Live Photoshoots

QUESTIONS
Q. Can I submit more than one entry?
A. Yes! You can submit as any entries as you like to improve your chances at winning. But you may only win one prize.

Q. What information will be provided to the judges?
A. First of all, a link to your work will be provided. Instead of providing a username, the works will be listed under a random tag (Entry A, Entry B, etc). If you have provided any descriptive text with your entry, such as themes or easter eggs with your work, those will be included as well.

Q. Can we talk about other submissions in this thread?
A. Absolutely! Even though this is the official submission thread, feel free to talk about any previous submissions as much as you like. We promise that submissions won't get lost in the replies :)

I wrote a haiku that describes in my opinion what The Talos Principle is about. I hope you enjoy it.

I'm not a very creative person when it comes to arts and crafts, but I love philosophy and thinking about different ideas or choices that could have been made, and what it means to be myself or if I should follow what society tell me. The philosophical aspects of The Talos Principle are what I look forward to most!

This is my incredibly lame entry into the contest. Because I can't draw well or make funny jokes, I decided to make a comic.

By the way, the game looks cool. While the whole philosophy thing is cool, what I really like about the game is the puzzles and the atmosphere. Keep up the good work everyone!

My short story i made is a theoretical universe of the Talos Principle, and it showcases some of the feautures in the Public test

I look forward most to the revolutionary mechanics and mind bending puzzles the game has to offer

Here's something probably everyone thought (or is going to think in the full version) at least once while solving those sigil puzzles, recreated with the help of the Lego Digital Designer:

As for what I'm looking forward the most, it's probably to see how elaborate and creative the game mechanics get. The recording mechanic in the public test was a nice surprise and I'm curious about what other stuff will await us.

Will try my best I gues ^^

Hello all!

This will be my first act of submission into the contest, its a short story involving myself playing the game but in a way I never exspected to play it. A lot of the story is a bit hindered given I did not want to reveal how to pass the puzzles in my story (always someone looking to get through puzzles they cant solve on forums haha) so I skipped around a bit which I didn't want to do but I hope its still entertaining.

Now for what I looked foreward to the most in this game is the puzzles without a doubt in my mind. My love for puzzles was not exaggerated in the story, I love a good puzzle and the chance to tax my brain. I am looking foreward to more complex puzzles and more beautiful world textures and a great story line to boot!

My photoshop edit with some 3D graphics and screenshot from actual TP Public Beta gameplay as background. I wanted to show something that for us may be futuristic, but in future would be ancient. That's why Oculus HMD and skeleton :) I love finding those kind of ester eggs, it stops you for a moment and force to think about the world.

Here is link for the full-res photo[lh3.googleusercontent.com], there is a little secret inside, try to find it ;)

spoiler:
you can try open the full-res photo in NotePad (on Windows) or in TextEdit (on Mac) as a text file. At the very end of the file there is a Secret Message

I have updated the second post with all entries received to date. We have 9 entries so far, keep them coming!

@PikaCommando: I have gone ahead and included your second entry. I'm not going to be too picky about including entries as long as they have some relevance to The Talos Principle. Just keep in mind that there will be people judging the creations, so the more relevant, the more likely it will be a top choice ;)
