About the VR support
Hi there folks.

I was waiting for some SERIOUS VR support to play the game and yay! it came out today.

Everthing seems good enough, chaperone OK, menu works really well, Croteam massive game/video/sound options anddddddd im locked at 37 fps.

Theres something amiss here, i have a powerful machine (i72600k@5ghz -980ti) and independent of the settings (i tried EVERYTHING in the options) the game seems stuck at 37 fps.

Maybe its something related to the output in the normal monitor, idk, but it is locked at 37 fps. Can you guys take a look please ?

Ah, and please add the refresh option of 75hz in the video options too !

Another thing, the subtitles in VR are at the bottom of the screen, making it VERY difficult to read (even using my peripheral vision), can you guys please make a option to adjust the height location of the subtittle ? That would solved it !

Solving these three problems would make the game perfect in VR, a even more awesome masterpiece.

Thanks for the help !!

Everyone getting this problem? What SDK version do you have installed?

I am on the fence on buying this game but working VR is important for me.

Can you please post you Talos.log file to help us find the cause of the framerate issue.

HI,
Am not able so make it work. When i start the game a white room in VR appear and then black screen.
Once i was able to play the game but menus wasn't in VR and there were no headtracking inside the game but it was in VR. Now if i figgle with the esc button during the black screen start i get a lot of blue lines in VR.
From the log the DK2 is recognized: 10:29:13 INF: VR device: 10:29:13 INF: Name: oculus 10:29:13 INF: Model: Oculus Rift DK2 10:29:13 INF: Vendor: 10:29:13 INF: Render target size: 1182x1461 10:29:13 INF:
10:29:13 INF: Unable to check for correct version of display driver!
SDK is 0.5.1.
Suggestions?

Edenroz, I'm guessing that the Oculus camera isn't placed correctly. You're seeing the blue lines because you're going outside the allowed space. I believe camera should be right in front of you when you play the game.

Hello keks and thanks for the reply.

My oculus camera is in front of me for sure...other vr games works well. I can send a picture of my setup if you want...
I updated my amd driver to 15.7 and the game once started in VR mode with functional head tracking (but no menus in VR making impossibile use them).
Also the screen horizontal size was smaller and i could see wide black band at the borders despite have 100% in the settings.

Since that time i always get a black screen at startup.
Will do more test with Msi afterburner off.

The way the game works for me with a DK2 GTX980 is this:

-Running in direct mode:
if settings are too high to get 75fps it locks to half that, 37.5.

If settings are low enough to lock at 75fps, it does do that. Turning the draw distance down to minimum is a good trigger for this.

-Running in extended mode:
Here I get the actual fps reported, so depending on graphics settings I can get anything from 40fps up to 75fps.

I found the best settings to be using extended mode, with no AA, and draw distance set to about 25%.

I do have issues with the gfx settings resetting each time I load the game, plus a lot of crashing when changing settings such as AA, so for now I've given up until the settings can be retained and hopefully optimised too.
