BG II: EE - Terrible Menu Issues

Well I've had a quick flick through the discussions and I can't find this same issue elsewhere. Similar one's, but not the same. So my apologies if I'm duplicating.

Essentially all of my Menu's in both BG: EE and No. 2 are completely unreadable. Having obsessed over the games in the past I generally know where most things are by memory, so I can stumble my way into the game using one of the premade characters, and the game background is absolutely fine. All menu's however are multicoloured, and have millions of tiny black and white stripes which prevent me from reading absolutely anything. This includes areas such as inventory, character records, options, and even just the chat area at the bottom of the screen and the character portraits to the side, etc. Pretty much everything really. So creating my own character and reading anything in the game whatsoever is impossible.

I have attempted common fixes such as changing compatability mode, run as admin, etc. I've even attempted changing colour options to 16bit, etc. Plus resolution changes just in case.
My OS is windows 8.1 (or windows Blue, whatever it's called), I have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500 Series, which whilst nowhere near the best graphics card should certainly play this game.

I'm unaccustomed to the Steam forums/discussions so I am unsure how to post a screenshot here. Anyway if anyone has any idea's which may help please post them, as I truely wish to get back into the fray and make an incredible party that actually has a pure thief class in it that isn't me or Yoshimo who you lose anyway! Plus who doesn't love the idea of a Dorn, Edwin, Viconia, Korgan, New thiefy girl and your glorious Bhaalspawn self party!

P.S - These issues are a recent development for me as when I originally bought BG:EE I was running on windows 7 and had only one issue with white backgrounds which was easily fixed. The opposite problem though really. Typical.
Oh and apologies if anything doesn't make sense. If i've confused anyone in any way I will try to elaborate.

email [e-mail], making sure you send your spec and a screenshot of the issue. It sounds like it is specifically to do with your graphics card, and apart from making sure your graphics drivers are up to date, they may be able to help you.

Would be interested to see what this looks like. Though it sounds like it's your system: either windows 8 or your card.

well i have the same issue and im running windows 7 on intel core i7 with a radeon 6700, and i'm gonna try to put a screenshot in the later days. and i'll try contacting beamdog support as said maybe they'll help me

I hope you will post the solution if you find one. Im having the same problem as you, and im using a amd laptop with a nvidia graphics card and win 8.1

I have emailed beamdog about the issue including all of my specs, when I get a response I'll let you know how we're getting along with a resolution.

I had the same issue until I updated my gr, aphics drivers to the latest version. Might not be your case exactly, but it's worth a shot!

Graphics drivers are up to date, so unfortunately it's not that.
I have received a support ticket from Beamdog, however no update as of yet. When I get one I will post on here what they say.

i Hope they are gonna get it soon, my drivers are up to date too but havent work for me

Hey, maybe that will works for you too:
- uinstall everything that can be uninstalled from catalyst manager (I did that cause most programs on my list works only in win 7)
- restart computer
- windows install driver itself after reboot
No more issue graphics with BGEE.

My configuration:
- CPU intel i5
- GPU Radeon HD Graphics 4500
- 4 GB Ram
- Windows 8.1 pro
