Import Problem [No save file found]

Hey guys.
Finished BG:EE last night and the game created a "Final Save" for me.

Bought BG2:EE a while ago. Booted it up, hit new game, hit import -> saved game and there was no files available.

Any ideas?

I also quit and booted up BG:EE again just to make sure, still nothing.

You have to copy the save file from BG:EE into the appropriate directory for BG2:EE.

Surprised me too. I found it was easier to just export my character, then copy/paste the Character file.

I am having trouble locating the saved character file under either BGEE or BGEE 2. I don't see it on my C drive in the steam file anywayere. Am I doing something wrong?

For me it was in:
C:\Users\Alan\Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition
