Issue with Armor values not working?
I'm currently playing an elvish thief(swashbuckler) that is sitting at -1 AC For some reason, if any enemy rolls an 8 or higher total on their attack roll, they are hitting me. They should be baving to hit 21+ to hit.Has anyone else had this happen to them?

EDIT: For Thief kit, thought it was duelist.

It depends on the THACO of the enemy. A roll of 21 would only be needed for an emeny with a THACO of 20. If the enemy has a THACO of 7 it would hit you with a roll of 8.

AC is nearly useless in BG2 past the first few adventure areas (Circus Tent, Copper Coronet, street ambushes). Enemies have lots of levels, often use magic weapons, and have high strength/dex, so they'll hit a good AC quite often. -1 is not good. -1 is mediocre at best. Good would be -15. Once you get into the ToB areas, then you would start needing impossibly good AC to make any difference (meaning -30).
Also note that a roll of 20 is an automatic hit, and 1 is an automatic miss.

ThAC0 - armor class = Number to roll above on a 1d20.
