Hi,

I know everyone has their opinion and that at times we do get heated about things we like or dislike, however, the forums are not a dumping ground where everyone can just attack each other over our game.

We have been working on this game for over 2 years, and have all put everything into this. If you don’t like the game, we respect you view but also understand that there are more people who actually like the game.

Please keep things civil and remember that we are here to help on any bugs and try and help sort out any frustration about the game.

Also please read the appropriate forum post, we are also moving things into the correct forums.

That would be great, i'd like these forums to be a nice place to come to with bugs or just to find out a bit more about the game.

But PLEASE tell Draekz, the guys sounds like a brat and is very rude. I've had no dealings with him but i have been keeping up on the forums and have read most of them ( even some of the deleted posts about bug that Draekz didn't like )

I'm not trying to attack Draekz and i know some of the steam public have been heated. Both sides need to behave and get back to this game.

I'm still on the fence as to buying Darkout, i'll be following the forums to make up my mind.

We are not in the habit of deleting posts about Bugs, we fix them. Once a bug has been fixed and confirmed as fixed we would move it again to a resolved folder (which we'll add)

Just check out our own forums at www.darkoutgame.net and you will find we are very open about fixing bugs and resolving gameplay issues.

We have a whole section on suggestions etc as well

Anyone who takes the time to read more than just the complaints sections/post will realize very quickly that we are a small team passionate about our game and community and also believe that things should be handled with respect and common courtesy to one another.

We welcome your feedback, and would only expect it to be respectful. Complaints from people who do not even own the game seem pointless and only aimed at throwing rocks for no reason.

I totally agree with Allgraf. I saw alot of people having tantrums yesturday. Like really contact the developers on their contact form on their website, they will work with you to help you get your game going. And in the majority of the cases its probably something simple, but regardless they need some more information like what setup your running it on. But a lot of people were just spouting their mouths off without giving the devs a chance to help them.

And bug reports are fine, but your post might get deleted if its about a bug with a real offensive tone where your slinging insults left and right, and generally not acting like an adult.

And Max Wraith I saw you last night in a thread that got deleted for good reason making some comment asking if you could express your opinion without getting legal action taken against you. If anyone was acting like a little brat it was you. I read Draekz comments and they seemed pretty professional to me considering the people he was dealing with and how they were acting.

The usual procedures apply to this game as any other thats giving some problems. Update all your hardware drivers, make sure whatever supported version of windows your using is fully patched and up to date, make sure you have the newest opengl drivers. If that doesnt help you then download the opengl diagnostic utility they suggest that is basically opengl's version of dxdiag, send them the output from that file along with any logs they request and they will work with you to help you get your game running so you can have a good customer experience.

Once you get to the actual game youll really like it, its a lot of fun!

personally i like the game, i like the graphics, the idea of its crafting and research, i dont like some of the interface at the moment, as well as a feel of lack of guidance, but i guess that last is just me, but overall i do have hopes that the game will deliver down the road, so i do wish you devs much success on this.

Hey Allgraf maybe in a future update or something have it where you can have friends play with you too and itd be perfect otherwise love it! Maybe even have it as a dlc you can buy on steam maybe?

We're definitely working on MP and will include it for free once completed :)

Awesome! Look forward to it! If you don't thats ok too I guess, Its still an amazing game and so much easier to play than terraria for the reason of blocks size. Blocks in terraria for me is an eye strainer and yours is so much easier to see and build. Thank you again for the wonderful amazing game! :)

It's not. There'a light mechanic that is necessary for weakening enemies, different ways of crafting etc., The only way it's like starbound is that it is on an alien planet and you build/craft stuff.

:-D Are you kidding me? Starbounds grapics are state of the art technology from 1990 :-D It was ugly stuff back then and is even more ugly now! :-D Someone should inform the Starbound developers that EGA graphics cards are no longer cutting edge kit :-D

I like Darkout much better in terms of immersion, atmosphere, lighting. crafting, mining, graphics, etc etc etc etc

I like Starbound too, but it's graphics are like Atari 2600, early Nintendo or Terraia, and Edge of Space Terraia, all are good games like 2D MineCraft games.

Darkout has a great theme with darkness feature, it's character art style is like the game Xenosage on PS2, or Septerra Core , the graphics are great with the neon glow it's the first 2D MineCraft game with realistic graphics, the Building mode is fun, and survival mode is challenging, and this is only stage 1, early access, work in progress game. Price for this game already is well worth it. The research crafting is awesome when you find all the components to craft all the different workstations it's a feeling of I did it, I survived another day on this planet. Check out all the cools bases others have made.

I really want to get into the game, I do. But soemhow I can't even access the crashed space vehicle thing at the start to get the tools. I've pressed "E" and every other button on the keyboard, but it just won't work.

Something doesn't sound right I just started a new character , and had no problem, you may have to uninstall the game , and reinstall game.

Darkout are one of the best future based games i have ever played but its missing some stuff for instance teleporting (advance tech) from base to where ever you have let your mark, bigger and stonger creeps, it also needs some sort of a map to show where you have been. Thank you for releasing such good game
