This game has so much potential, but it is a complete joke when it comes to balance. I jumped in as a new player and got excited pretty quickly. The game is glossy, it has a nice thematic element, and the matches were fun...until I played multiplayer. And before I go further, keep in mind this is almost exclusively a multiplayer game. There is a campaign, which has a decent, albeint unchallenging storyline advancement. That said, quests are only for multiplayer, and not just multiplayer, but "competive" multiplayer. What that means is that the match has to progress to a certain point before you get credit.
Well, I won my first 9+ games and thought that was a little odd; and I say "+" because a lot of matches didn't count since my opponent quit early and therefore weren't "competitive". Then...bam...match after match against people who had massive synergy in their decks and rare+ cards throughout that pretty much gave me no chance other than to bang my head against the keyboard. It's sad, because the potential is there, but with no way to be competitive, and the entire game being focused around that element, the game has basically died. And instead of me going back down the ranks to meet more appropriate competition, I still gain rank, just less than I would if I had won, which only puts me against tougher competition.
Avoid, unless perhaps you wanna spend a lot of money, since I don't know what that would get you.
