DIFFERENT DAY; SAME DECKS
So as yet another day passes its the same cookie cutter decks. This game had so much potential.....had. Anyone else notice this ( infested with gimmicks) ?? Please stay on topic.

It held my attention for a month or so, then once i realized everyone just plays gimmick decks and there are dozens of do 4 things at once cards I lost interest.

Kind of hard to get into a strategy game when someone can just drop a nuke on you.

Unfortunately, the last expansion was very boring. Some buildings and crappy spells. :) I hope for the next one! Maybe it give us more options for building interesting decks.

Tried out hearthstone.
And I can say. It feels even more lame than this game.
Especially with the you are able to attack the hero any time unless you got a creature with taunt.
♥♥♥♥ being able to pyroblast the hero as mage.
If I remember right it costs 10 points, does 11 dmg and at full hp a hero got 30 hp.
Also random effects.
Robots that randomly heal the enemy or yourself is really lame.
The only thing hearthstone got better is the flashy animations.

Mostly just log in for rewards and help people on forums anymore it seems like, lol. Make a few zany decks to have fun with, but at my forced elo bracket just running into lifers with cookie cutter decks still.

What do you expect with a $5 per pack price? Options are limited if the price is too high and people either grind for cards (slow) or quit before they get enough packs to get enough types of cards to try a new strat.

Yes, indeed the pricing is a bit wonky. The grind to get where im at now i have to admit was a bit tedious, but fun for the most part . Im lucky enough to where i have enough cards to try making diff . decks to have fun , I just know that unless its a cookie cutter it has no chance for the most part. But i digress, you make a valid point that most are gone early on .

Nah, the Kelthor spam in the jackpot tournaments is stupid and out of control. It doesn't take any ability to spam forbidden flame and blackskull raiders (or whatever they're called) all day long.

Ahhh, the good ol' Keither cookie, had a few of them opponents in jackpot definitly . I bet forbidden flame is permanently burned into quite a few t.v and laptop screens for sure, lmao. Quite a few of the cookie cutter decks wouldnt be so bad to play against if we( the community) had a sideboard , were sure of this.

Kelthor in jackpot? Easy, just play mill deck.
Slicklegs Jan 6, 2014 @ 12:01am
Yes , just play a mill deck , then get wiped by the next guy because after you lose to the previous guy , his deck is different , but wait....just change your deck after that and get wiped by the next guy , but wait you can change your deck back ......etc, etc, etc. Problemn with that too is your feeding into the whole "I have play a cookie cutter to beat one" mentality. Which is off topic, Thats why i made the sideboard comment , read the posts and stay on topic please. ive read some of your posts , youve been around for awhile and should know better by now.

Hearthstone is the better game, while it is simpler there are actually alot of ways to make good combo plays where as in this game its pretty much always nuke everything with aoe spell or keep people locked down with prison etc.. There isn't any combos so the mechanics doesn't actually add depth.

There are combos. The problem is just the broken ones make the 'fun' combos unplayable as soon as you meet someone with a semi-serious deck.

I've had some fun with sanctuary pulling up my creatures on the hand again when they get injured and playing them again cheaper. It gets decimated if I meet something serious, though.

Yeah I was tempted to try a sanctuary fortune deck but it would get dominated by anythng somewhat good and you mostly want to be bouncing your manuver guys and not melees like some of the cards specify.

Most of the time I ended up bouncing my 'draw a card when you attack' guys, as they seemed popular to damage by opponents. playing them again for 1 resource after a bounce and a card draw (after they attacked and another card draw) seemed to frustrate some opponents :bakal:
