Controller doesn't work on linux
Hi

My controller doesn't work, in the tittle screen when it says "push a button", it works.

but after that, the controller does not work anymore, and I have to use the keyboard/mouse

EDIT: I am using a Logitech F710

Hi,

Have you configured your controller in the options screen?

Let me know if you're still having issues after that and we will look into it for you :)

Thanks!

I dont see any option to configure controller explicitly in option screen:

I tried to configure the controller buttons into the "reconfigure controls" option, but when I push the buttons in my controller the game doesn't detect anything, so I can't configure it...

It is like the game only can detect the controller on the tittle screen...

I have the same problem with a Logitech F310. The game responds to button presses from the controller when it's at the opening "Press any key" screen, but doesn't respond to anything from the gamepad after that. Like Alfa, I don't see any configuration options for a controller other than the keyboard. I tried both the standard xpad kernel module and xboxdrv and got the same result.

This controller is configured under the "Big Picture". It works there and with several other games using SDL2.

Thanks,

Ashley

Yeah, I had to configure the controller buttons in Pixeljunk Monsters, but it worked fine in that. In Shooter, only the analog sticks are being detected.

I chose to start playing the game with keyboard and mouse, but sadly the game runs at 1/4th speed when the ship goes within an inch or two of water or lava.

I'm running Ubuntu 13.10 64bit w/ Unity. on a GTX 670 331.20 drivers.

The Reconfigure Controls screen can be a little bit confusing. There are two columns with control mappings. The left column is only for Keyboard controls. The right column is only for Joypad controls. So to configure your controller either select the right hand Configure All button or click on individual rows on the right hand column.

I went through the reconfigure page again, and the game does recognize input from the analog sticks and the analog triggers. It doesn't detect any button presses or the d-pad, although as I said before at the opening screen it does respond to pressing A.

Same here.

I can configure the controls of the gamepad in the right column, but in the game the gamepad does not respond to any button...

Even using the right column I can't configure it.

Well, if I put my controller in "D" position (it has two position "X" and "D") I can configure the analog sticks, but not the buttons or the triggers

I've played the game again today and while controllers still aren't working, I'm no longer having that performance issue I noted earlier.

Thank you for your feedback. We have tested a Logitech F710 and have found some issues with the game failing to detect inputs when trying to reconfigure it. These issues should be fixed in the next patch.

We are also going to make the Reconfigure Controls screen slightly easier to use.

Thanks for responding. I'm enjoying the game even without the controller.

Is there a specific date for the next patch?
