Thinking About Buying
So, there's a lot of negative feedback about this game -- I understand it's still in early stages but bad first impressions usually pin a lack of effort on the part of the developer so I have to ask.

Is this game worth getting? I like space sims and sandbox style games, I've played EVE for close to 6 years, that's one of the original reasons I was interested in this game.

Any player insight/developer insight that could help influence my decision?

Bear in mind... this is a game still in development.
If you like space sim games, and don't have the hardware to run the newer games like Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous, then seriously consider looking into Entropy.

Also, if you do have SC and E:D, and yet want something to tide you over until they come out, Entropy is a fine place to hang. Entropy has mining and trading already. Entropy also has a relatively large universe with a lot of room to expand.

I have several friends who cannot run the other games, and don't have the $$$ to buy them, so I am suggesting Entropy as an alternative.

If you have the 20 bucks, do what I did and check it out.

I definitely have the hardware to run pretty much anything, that's not really an issue -- I understand it's early access I just want to know if I am going to enjoy myself in it i.e. are there tons of griefers?

Are there any game breaking bugs that I would frequently come across?

How easy is it to develop a stable economy so you can continue to advance in the game?

Things like that really are what I am trying to learn.

I personally have run across little to no griefers. And with regards to bugs, the game is relatively stable. And the character Creator is fun all by itself.

Wellp, looks like I am going to pick it up -- Hoping I don't regret my decision.

this game is good, if there are negative feedbacks they are old and deprecate today. The game is great.

I can attest to the fact that it's a great game with great potential.

The issue is that there are about only 10 players on average playing this game.

And... devs are getting ready to change the game in major ways, including removing the 2d map and adding in crafting. I'd wait to read reviews of those massive changes before buying...

Eh, already picked it up -- It's rather dead which is kind of disheartening, the one thing I really enjoy about EVE is the community in that you can always fit in somewhere and do something you like with other people. I like this game a bit better mechanically though (even though I'll continue to play EVE) so if this game could develop the community, and definitely a user-friendly tutorial that would ease the learning curve a bit. I'd give it a solid 8/10 until it's developed further along.

Before you do, did you know that most of the time you will spend looking at a 2d travel map with other 6-7 players online on the server?
I am still waiting for crafting and 3d..
Oh its to late, never mind then :)

Yes, I have spent a bit of time staring at a 2D travel map already. Doesn't really bother me so much. It's more interactive than: Right click > jump to gate > right click > warp which takes ages in EVE if you're going good distances.
Currently, the 2D map isn't bothering me too much either, though I have to admit, I am eager to see the 3D version.

The devs would do smt like in Black Prophecy. That would be good.

The game has potential, to anyone else considering purchasing it, but my advice is to wait. There hasn't been a developer update or forum post regarding the status of updates in nearly two months. Again, the game may end up solid, but since I purchased it in December of last year, there really hasn't been much expansion, bug fix, or progress made. And now with a lul in any progress whatsoever since early June, Entropy is beginning to look like vaporware.

Decided to pick up ArcheAge as well to play in the meantime. Seems fan freakin' tastic.
