Oh good. I just started using sensors the other day and this was driving me mad. The boarding ship became so loud...
What does this do exactly? Can players restart a mission whenever they wish? I have been waiting for an option like that (or savegames) before I purchase.
There's a save game. I think he means the ability to save multiple games concurrently (though there are ways to do that, too) OR like a checkpoint save system so he can go back when he dies. It is a permadeath game, though we've (somewhat hesitantly) added a couple options since release for those who don't like permadeath :)
Actually, there's already another option called "Allow Soft Reset" so you can restart while in a mission. It will also allow you to cheat death by restarting if you had an otherwise normal "game over" death on a mission. That came out shortly after release. The new option you are talking about was added for players whose game crashed while in a mission so that, after restarting Duskers, they can board the ship again. Of course it can be exploited, but we really previously added Soft Reset for those people, and this one was specifically added as a bone for certain Mac players who have a specialized crash on certain hardware to ease the crash pain :)
