How this games saves?

Hi guys,

Play a little, i met the first boss, then i quit the game... and the game restart from the beginning.
How the saves work in this game?

I hope that after bosses tha game saves data,

Progress will be saved when the message about checkpoint appears. In case of the first act that will be some time after the 2nd boss, after you go up the elevating platform from the dungeon. Took me about 40 minutes to get there.

The game is great, but savepoints are a pain in the ass.

I agree with that, I'm sick of all this "retro indie game" who think it's better to have save every 364 boards, it doesn't make the game more difficult, just frustrating, specially if you actually have others things to do.

What are you people talking about? The first checkpoint is after the first boss. Is it too much to expect you to play the game for 15 minutes at a time?
